I was a client or resident at Applewood and I have to say that the physical therapy and therapist are excellent to work with. You also need to want to do the work. As for organization it lacks quite a bit of organization. If you can handle yourself then yes go here. If you can’t then find someplace else to go get well…. A lot of the staff are excellent folks but they don’t run things so be careful research if you can…

I was employed for 6 months. Second worse place I have EVER worked. Management is absolutely uncaring about their staff. I''m in the process of filing a complaint on the DON of the facility. I wish I could screen shot a response text I recieved from him. It was heartless and very unprofessional. His work ethics are unacceptable. As far as the full time staff that I worked with. They were wonderful.. I''m not going to waste my time contacting your website. I''m going to the kentucky nursing board.

UPDATE: my mothers doctor removed her from this home for being “neglected and abused” she fell for the first time cause she had a STROKE fell for a second and broke her ankle. They weren’t aware of either until her brain surgeon did a check up on her several days later and immediately sent her to the ER. My mom has been here one night after brain surgery.. they found her on the floor at 3:30am and have no idea how long she was on the floor or why. Very unprofessional on the phone and very unorganized!

1 out of 10 workers actually look and seem friendly. Every other worker seems miserable. They’re not too friendly at all. It’s very rare that anyone greets you when you come through the door. The whole discharge process was done by a nurse, not a social worker. Which meant that nothing was explained in detail. The social worker Johnny was very rude when I called back for a follow up question. She was basically saying don’t call back and figure it out on your own. Total c*nt!

This place cares only about the money and not the patients. My friend was at Applewood Post-Acute and for the first two days had no sheet on her mattress only a plastic covering. Every time i went to visit her she was soaked with urine or feces. I would always have to call someone to come clean her. She was being combative with the nurses because they were MEAN to her and she was sent to the hospital for an evaluation. While at the hospital Applewood threw away ALL of her belongings away. They said they didn''t have room to store her stuff and of course they weren''t getting paid to. They have no regards for their patients belongings. The place smells bad, filthy, and they are very unorganized.
