My mother will be moving into The Auberge at Bee Cave. We chose it because of the ratio of providers to residents. I've been impressed with the staff that I've met, so far. We liked their activities and the activity director. She was extremely engaged and she had all kinds of ideas. They were also very open to family visiting and bringing in pets to visit. They had this kind of methodology that's based on Montessori, and I just thought that was kind of nice. The rooms all had views and the courtyard was very nice. They repainted the room and cleaned all the ductwork before we could move in. We've observed people cleaning everywhere regularly.

Tough times don’t last, tough teams do. That is the motto of the Auberge. It was demonstrated to me and the other residents this morning. Ten minutes before breakfast starts, I was annoyed because no one had shown up to help my wife get ready. I went to the dining room and apprised the senior CNA of the situation. She said she would have some help to me shortly. Within 2 minutes, I had my help. Twenty minutes later, approaching the dining room I noticed 2 unusual things. About 25% of the people that are normally there were missing. The entire staff that were on duty at that time, CNAs and kitchen, were having a meeting. Then the CNAs disappeared and the Chef and dishwasher started serving breakfast. Because I reported my wife’s problem, they figured out that one of the CNAs left without helping his assigned residents get to breakfast. They could have said Tough Break for the residents that didn’t get service and continued their normal assignments. However they pulled together as a team and continued the service we residents need. Even the maintenance man was assigned a wheel chair to push. They all work as a team to meet the needs of us residents.

My family's been happy consistently with the care our Mom has received at Auberge for the past several years. The greatest asset is their employees. Although not all of them stand out as exceptional personalities, it does seem that the majority of them are happily employed there and seem to like doing what they do. Several do stand out however, and help to lend a personal touch, as they truly get to know the residents and take ownership for their service to those who live there. these workers also get to know regular visitors and make us feel welcome. The facility is well kept and always clean, with a well decorated look, which makes the place feel inviting. I'm hoping that more diverse activities will resume on a more regular basis since the worst of covid has past. There's a very nice courtyard that can be seen through picture windows, that the building is built to encompass. This is a wonderful amenity for anyone who likes to spend time outside when the weather allows, as the eaves are wide and can protect from rain. All in all, we've been happy to have our Mom there, and feel that she's been well cared for.

We went to The Auberge at Bee Cave. All they have is dementia care. It's all on one level. It's very welcoming. There's a lot of space for them to be safe in a garden, and inside there are lots of places to walk and I thought that was good. They have activities that are pretty based on the Montessori, so I thought that was good, but they were a little pricy for me. They're coming furnished, so that's pretty good. They have a lot of activities, they provide assistance, and they're very good to their residents. Their dining rooms were spotlessly clean and it didn't smell like urine. They have a theater room, exercise people, physical therapy, and they had recreational therapy there. It looked like they work with them quite a bit. The staff seemed to like their job. I like their grounds. It's very nice.
