Our grandmother was refused medical transport to the hospital for more than a day because the staff didn''t believe she had broken her hip. It was fractured and she had to be rushed into emergency surgery after we demanded they xray her and found it was severely fractured. They refused to give her a toilet riser amd told her no such thing existed. Then when we asked about the toilet riser they told us they had to lock them up for security reasons and Noone on site is allowed to give them out. Please do not send your loved ones here. Because of this incident out grandmother had to start all over on her recovery and will be lucky if she ever gets to live independently again.

This place lacks hygiene and quality care for our elders. This place missed diagnosis my mother''s leg after she fell. The PA AND NURSING STAFF just put her back in bed and said she was fine. When I arrived I could tell she was in a lot of pain I requested an X-ray and sure enough she had been sitting in her bed for more then 24 hours with a broken femur and no one that gave care to her even noticed something was wrong. I can go on and on about many things wrong with this place but I will stick to the the biggest ones. On November 15 I received a call that my mom has Covid 19 and has been moved to the Covid unit. Let me mention that my mom has not left her room other then to shower in the last 8 months to try and stay safe. This nursing home has the staff working in the covid units then two days later this person worked my mothers wing and infected almost the whole wing. November 27, my mom passed away from Covid-19 from the lack of safety procedures taken in this place. My. Loving amazing mom had to die with no one holding her hand and that sucks and it all falls on the shoulder of Mike the manager of this facility. Our elder should not have to tolerate such lack of care. Bottom line this place will kill your loved ones.

I highly recommend this place for anyone who has a loved one needing skilled nursing or rehab services! My 92 year old grandmother suffered two strokes that took her ability to walk, independently perform daily tasks, some of her speech, memory and personality. If it wasn’t for the highly skilled employees and administration at Avamere she wouldn’t be home with us today. They not only treated her like a queen while she was there, but they quickly got her walking and independent again. Her speech, memory and personality are all back to where she was before the strokes. Every staff member that came in her room jumped in to help when she needed it and even asked us to relax so they can assist her with everything. We couldn’t be thankful enough to know she was in great hands! Thanks to all of her wonderful nurses, housekeepers, her physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, doctor, rockstar management team and social worker!! The administrative staff did such a wonderful job keeping us updated on her status and provided so many resources for us at home after her discharge. We don’t know what we would do without every team member putting in all they had to give her back the quality of life she deserves. Thanks again to ALL the staff at Avamere. We will be forever grateful!! Love, Jenny, Danyelle, Sandra and Brigitte
