If I could give no stars I would. Looks good on the outside and inside but the people are horrible. On the third day there they dropped my sister from a hoyer lift onto her head. We ended up in the emergency room. Thank goodness she did not get injured seriously, She had a cut on her head but no internal injury. The attention to her was horrible. They paid no attention to the light when pressed for help. I found them sitting at the desk on their phones most times when I visited. When I mentioned this to the Administer, she defended the aids saying they work hard and they need to rest sometimes. A month later my sister was dead. I got a call from them at 10pm. They said I had better hurry over if I want to see my sister. Paramedics were already there. I asked what hospital were they taking her to and the aid said she didn''t ask them. I made call and found the hospital. When I got to the hospital, she was dead. I will never know how long my sister was in distress before she died. I am sure that no one was paying any attention to her. I filed a complaint with the state but I do not know what the outcome was. Don''t put your loved ones at Shalom Park. My heart is breaking without my sister.

I have worked in long term care for a long time and never felt so discriminated against as I did when I spoke with the director of nursing. It takes special caring people to work in long term care facilities, the kindness, patience, compassion, honoring community and belonging. I do not see this at all, as a long term care facility I would expect the continuity of care be the same nursing home to nursing home. As a community that has a high population of Jewish residents I would also expect the Jewish prayer be their mission, “to symbolize a greater level of respect”. The facility could be the best facility in the United States and that one person can change a persons perspective. If zero stars was an option, I would give that rating.

⭐Exceptional Care at Shalom Park Nursing Home⭐ I am taking this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and share our experience with Shalom Park Nursing Home, where my mother-in-law, Susan, spent her final year. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The nursing home provided not just superior care but also a remarkable human experience at a time of life that is often fraught with difficulties and sadness. The staff at Shalom Park are truly what set this facility apart. Every member of the team we interacted with exhibited professionalism, dedication, and, most importantly, genuine compassion. They took it upon themselves to ensure that Susan was not just comfortable, but also treated with the utmost respect and dignity, acknowledging her as the individual she was and not just another patient. The attention to detail was awe-inspiring. Staff was consistently attentive, not just addressing immediate physical needs, but also providing emotional support to Susan and our family, demonstrating their deep understanding of the comprehensive nature of end-of-life care. The nursing home didn''t just provide healthcare; they provided a safe, nurturing environment that gave us invaluable peace of mind. As challenging as the end-of-life phase can be, Shalom Park has a way of alleviating the harshness of this reality. They offered a haven where dignity, respect, and comfort were prioritized. Shalom Park is more than a nursing home; it''s a community of caregivers who genuinely strive to make a difference in their residents'' lives. In closing, our family cannot recommend Shalom Park Nursing Home highly enough. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism we experienced there was second to none. During the most difficult times, Shalom Park stood as a beacon of hope and peace for our family, and we are eternally grateful for their service. They made the hardest journey a little less burdensome and ensured Susan spent her final days surrounded by care, comfort, and respect.
