What I liked most about BeulahLand Assisted Living was the price. The least favorable was the appearance. As far as the nicer parts of how it looks, the porch where people can sit and look out is good, but there really isn't too much to look at. The dining and recreation area weren't real cozy or comfortable looking. It's kind of a one big room, and it's plain. I don't think a lot of people would like the looks of that place compared to others that I've been in before. It looked old. They said it was an old school building. As far as cleanliness, I didn't see any issues there. It looked clean enough. Even in the bedrooms or apartment part of it, it doesn't look like it would be very comfortable for sitting or lying down. The staff was good. She was informative, seemed to know what she was talking about, gave me the information I wanted, and answered my questions. They have a beauty salon. They have an activity room, which I guess they use it for more than one thing, but it doesn't look good there. It's just a big, wide open room with chairs around the outside of it.

The overall appearance of the community is great, every time we come to visit the place is always nice, clean, tidy and the food is good. They could work better on their communication consistency and their correspondence with the families. During the tour the communication was great, but once our loved ones moved in it really seemed to decline.

We toured BeulahLand Assisted Living for my sister-in-law. We were there at lunchtime. The residents seemed pretty immobile, and a lot of them were in wheelchairs or Geri chairs. We didn't see the individual rooms, but we saw the common areas. It's not new. It's located in an old school, but it was clean. People in it needed a lot of care, and my sister-in-law does not need that kind of care at this point. So, we pretty much eliminated that. The staff was fine. She was concerned about bringing in COVID, and she told me that they had not had any. That's really the reason we did not go into the rooms.

We had a nice visit at BeulahLand Assisted Living. They were real thorough and showed us around. It was a little rundown, but other than that, it would be alright. We'd have to fancy up my friend's room if she goes there. The staff members were very friendly and very helpful. The lady that greeted us and took us on the tour was very helpful and very nice. The apartments were a little dingy, but they seemed to take good care of the residents. They had activities daily, and we saw the sitting room, the eating area, and the showers for the private rooms. It's a nice place, and the rate is cheaper than others.

They take excellent care of my loved one. There is only two things that I would complain about. The first being the turnover of staff and the second being the activities were missed during the staff turnover. The meals were horrible for a while. They have new people buying groceries and fixing new meals. In the past there there was nothing nutritious about the food. Again, this has been fixed and they now have balanced meals. I was able to brought a refrigerator to my loved one for her to allow me to bring some food to her. The value is good, and this community is out in the country. There are some houses around along with wooded areas. The community is clean, and you can't smell urine throughout this community. It is similar to a dormitory for college. During this pandemic time they have kept all residents and staff safe. They haven't had any cases of COVID.
