The staff is all very friendly which is really important for the resident's to feel good. I have lived in 2 other communities, and Brookdale Littleton is by far the nicest and I would never consider another move

Brookdale Littleton seemed like a real small community, so it was more intimate. They had an enclosed park-like setting in the center of all the rooms. It was kind of like a big square, and in the center was like a giant park type thing. They had a gazebo out there, and they had trees and flowers and paths so everybody could get outside and really enjoy the nature, but still be kind of enclosed for security. That's what I liked the most about it. What I didn't like as much was the size of the rooms. Compared to where my father is at now, I felt they were considerably smaller, and it's considerably more expensive over here. That I didn't care for and he did not care for it either. He was a big no-no on that. The staff during the tour was fantastic, very informative, and very well-liked by residents there as well as other staff. You could just see the rapport among people, very low key casual yet professional. She was a sweetie pie. Everybody there was extremely nice. It seemed to be very well kept. It was definitely an older facility, but it seemed to be in quite good repair. The grounds were well kept. We went through two or three rooms, and they seemed to be in good working order. They were just very small.

Other than that, they covered everything that you would normally need for assisted living. They had an exercise area, a place where people could go and congregate if they wanted, and a library. The standard stuff.

Mom stayed in Brookdale Littleton. She passed away ten days after she was there. For the most part, the staff was great. Some nurses are always better than others, but overall, it was great. It was maintained fairly well. It was recently redone at that time. I did not try the food, but my mom said it was good. It was during COVID, but they did have exercise activities inside. They had activities where they could distance themselves, like chair yoga and stuff. They just kept them apart. The floor plan was great, and it had been newly done. It was a good size. Perfect, so that she could have a bed, a little table, and some furniture. She has a sitting room, a kitchen-ish, and a bedroom. It's just that some of the staff could be a little more attentive. I also understand, we're faced with shortages all the time, and that could simply have been it.
