The ladies there are outstanding. They treat the people like they are their family. Very home like setting. [name removed] really goes the extra mile to help my mom. My mom is getting great care at New Perspective. She adjusted very quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My Mother was a resident at this facility for 2-1/2 years. Most of her caregivers were amazing!! We couldn't have asked for more loving and caring people to care for our Mom. Unfortunately, the management leaves much to be desired!!! When Mom passed about a week and a half ago, management seemed like it was an inconvenience to help us to find our Mom's Hospice nurse, who gave us time to say goodbye. Today we went back to thank some of the staff and to drop off something that we had that didn't belong to Mom, and we were told that management said that family members of deceased former residents are not allowed to come back. This was very upsetting, as we became close to other residents and to the wonderful caregivers in the time that Mom was there, and would love to stay in touch, but we are not welcome there anymore, now that Mom has passed! Some of the residents have no family, or visitors and we felt it would be nice to pop in occasionally to just see how everyone is doing. I'm shocked that management forbids this from happening. The management team could learn so much from the caregivers that work so tirelessly every day, making sure the residents are clean, dressed, fed, exercised, etc. When Mom first got there, the management was present and involved, but over the past year or so, that is not the case. Makes us so sad, as we felt so blessed to have gotten Mom into this facility and then to see where it's gone is just a shame.

The caregivers were so nice to work with. Our family developed great relationships with them. However, the management is pretty much non-existent. It seems they're so busy building their "mansion" facilities, that this beautiful little cottage setting gets nothing put into it. They haven't had a dedicated nurse there in well over a year. They can't keep new caregivers because they understaff so badly that nobody wants to work there. The day our mother passed away (at the facility), there was a director and a nurse in the office. Neither ever even spoke with us to offer assistance, condolences or anything else. And today we found out that family of deceased residents aren't allowed to come back to visit the caregivers or other residents who we built relationships with!!!! Several residents never get visitors and we would love to continue to visit with them. But apparently, that's not something that the management wants to happen. Such a shame. This small (15 bed) facility is so perfect for dementia patients. If only it was managed better.
