I can''t imagine having to give up my independence but if i did, this would be the spot. A VERY dear family member broke her hip at home. If you know anything about seniors that injury is one they don''t typically have much time with us for long afterwards. That was 3 or more years ago and i am on my way to visit with her now... At the California Armenian Home... for a live visit, with snacks for her and everything. They''ve done well by my family at this place. They also offer condo living for couples (and singles) needing some assistance.

Staff overworked, not trained to work w/memory care residents, no resident care records to get care information. Covid test results not submitted to Treating Physicians in timely manner. Nice backsplash and cabinetry but, not adequate care.

I have been working with the home to spay and neuter their resident cats on the property for the last year and a half, but last Wednesday Nov 7th 2018 the Board of Directors voted to trap all the cats and have them euthanized at the SPCA. No good reason for this, they claim flea infestation, which is totally false. What concerns me is that they locked the door going under the building where the cats sometimes hang out, the cats still in there with no food or water only a trap. What kind of people run this place, they are suppose to be caregivers. Residents and employees care for these animals and have been taking care of them for years. Now they are told not to feed them and they fear for their jobs. Animals are good therapy. Meanwhile, in other parts of the state people are bending over backwards to save animals in harm way because of fires. No kindness at this home.
