Camellia Place is an amazing option for those needing Assisted Living and Memory Care services in the Woodstock and surrounding areas. The staff are amazing - especially Gency Roth- it''s obvious that she LOVES what she does and is called to it. The facilities were clean and did not have that normal smell of an assisted living which I didn''t know was even possible. I also really appreciated that there are sperate buildings of smaller groups of people - genius! If you are looking at assisted living for a loved one, I HIGHLY recommend Camellia Place!

Camellia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care was lovely. It was very nice. We liked it a lot. The residents there seemed comfortable, and they were nice, too. They didn't have anything bad to say about the place. They have in-room adjustable air conditioning and heaters. They have the usual adult living rooms that are convenient for the residents with a shower and closet space. They have a refrigerator and an area to put your coffee pot, that sort of thing. It was spotless. They have a large dining area as well.

Camellia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care was excellent. I love Alisha, she's awesome, extremely thorough, and very professional. It was great. The facility is nice, newer, and clean. It's a different structure than most assisted living facilities, where most of the apartments are kind of just the apartment itself. In this place, the whole thing is houses, with various people in their own apartments in the houses, and then the living area is communal, as opposed to most of the other places where basically you had your bedroom separated with a living area where you can kind of watch TV. But here, the apartments were a little smaller in that regard, because everything else was communal. So it was interesting, very different — with various houses with ten different apartments and a communal area within each of the houses. Each house had its own food and dining area. It wasn't a massive place, but each house had its own community. It was accommodating to whoever the residents were. It looked fine and didn't seem that you would've been overcrowded with people because every house had its own kitchen. Most of the activities, either they were already on the bus going to the local shops, or the grocery store, or nothing was going on at that time. In this facility, they were very thorough and organized. They had the menus for the food, and a calendar of events that were going on throughout the whole month. It looked pretty jam-packed with the different things to do, whether it be karaoke nights or Margarita Mondays or whatever it be. There were events bringing people in, speakers, and storytellers. It was pretty thorough.

Camellia Place was beautiful. The facility is very pretty and so clean. It is set up in little cottages which would be great for those who are more anti-social. We did not see a lot of mingling going on between residents. For my dad he would have had to walk from the cottage to the main building to interact with others and we knew that would not happen which was why we decided against them. It seemed like a great choice though!

I worked for Camellia place for 3 years. Over that time I formed relationships with several residents and their families. A few weeks ago, after following all proper protocol, I resigned to move on to other opportunities. Today I went to visit some residents as I frequently do on Sunday afternoons and was told by the new management that any previous employees are no longer welcome on the property. The new managers and owners are not at all concerned with building relationships, nor continuing relationships. What used to be the premier assisted living/memory care in our community is now Just another mediocre facility whose only concerned Is The almighty dollar. The food budget, the activities budget, caregiver quality, I’ll speak to this effect. Looks aren’t everything, “ If it looks too good to be true it probably is” !
