The Oncology Department and the staff are the best.

Pre op patient registration process, testing, all went very smoothly. Pre op nurse answered all of the questions I had and was very professional. Staff was friendly, great service.

I had knee surgery on July 21st. It was day surgery. DR. AZZO did the surgery he was a great Physician. I had knee surgery on July 21st. It was day surgery. DR. AZZO did the surgery he was a great Physician. Everyone I came in contact with at Clinch Valley Medical Center went above and beyond what they was hire to do. Overly kind. But there was one employee that I ran into that I didn''t care fore at all. She was over Anesthesiaolgy. She was extremely rude to the patient beside me and his wife they were elderly. She insisted on this gentleman to sign his papers. He said his wife sign for him. She said do you have dementia she said know . Ms. Leedy said in the State of VA has long has you have a brain you have to sign. She never once ask him if he could write. She just went on and on. On top of his surgery he was a total wreck. Then she came to me. I told her straight off I had trouble being but to sleep. That when I had my son they thought Ii was asleep but I could here them and feel every thing. That a dentist could numb me enough to last some for 3 hrs and it last 2 min. On me. . She just said things has changed now it''s not like that. I said ok I''m trusting you. Then I told her my mother''s last name was Leedy she was all excited . Wanted to know if I had a Blue Book she was more interested in that I mean totally excited. Operating Room they tried my arms down me trusting what she said this guy put this stuff in my IV told me it would sting a little bit. Oxygen on my face. I should be asleep I thought. He put some more stuff in my IV it burnt from the IV all way up my arm about 4 inches or more across my arm up the side of my neck in to my head down my back and I couldn''t get away from it. The look on that guy''s face that was holding the oxygen he just kept telling be to breath. I couldn''t tell them what was wrong. I just couldn''t get away from it. I finnaly went to sleep. That tells be she was not paying a bit of attention to be then she was the elderly man. I called that curel and unual punishment. And the only thing that got her attention was that my mother might be kin to her. I wouldn''t think twice about going back to Clinch Valley Hospital. But has long has Ms. Leedy is employed there I wouldn''t have another Surgery.

I have had 2 procedures at the hospital recently and my experience was wonderful the nurses and the doctor treated me well I would recommend using clinch valley hospital
