We picked this community because of the location, and personable staff. Overall it was adequate, but very disappointing that they actively recruited new residents when less than 2 months later they announced closure of the facility, forcing a move within 30 days. Very disruptive.
The staffing could be improved, they are often short staffed . We picked this community, because it is close proximity to our house.

Even though I was familiar with the area, it still took me going around the block quite a few times to be able to find a place to park and visit. Like the others that I had visited, they had a beauty salon and a small exercise area. The rooms were very small, and I found them dark.

Cogir of Northgate was a nice place. It was super clean and the dining room, in particular, was really impressive. They give you three meals a day. The decor of the building was quite nice. They were always well-lit. It was like a nice hotel. The apartments were adequate for a person my age. It had a small European type of kitchen against the wall of the living room and a balcony above the garden, which was quite nice, then an alcove. It's not something that I'm used to living in, but for my needs, it is sufficient. There are games, art classes, plenty of yoga, crossword puzzles, and all other types of things as well.

I had a short tour of Cogir of Northgate, and it seemed like the people were very pleasant when I came in the door. A slight downside was that it is a rehabilitated apartment house. So, it's kind of like a hotel, but the people were really nice, and the rooms seemed pretty good sized for the price. ...
I had a short tour of Cogir of Northgate, and it seemed like the people were very pleasant when I came in the door. A slight downside was that it is a rehabilitated apartment house. So, it's kind of like a hotel, but the people were really nice, and the rooms seemed pretty good sized for the price. It met my criteria, and they have all the things you expect from an assisted living. They have nurses, medical things, and shopping close by. Their dining area was very nice. It's roomy, and it looked pleasant. The apartments were either a studio or a one-bedroom. The one-bedroom was around 600 square feet, and it was adequate for one person. Ashley was the person who gave us the tour, and she was pleasant, knowledgeable, and up on the features they're selling. They actually presented everything in a good light. They have some social activities, too, like playing cards, parties, and transportation to medical facilities, which are fairly close.
