-
Private bathrooms
-

-
Expansive windows

Dining areas
Some floor plans offer sizable patios with exceptional views of the community’s gardens and grounds, depending on availability. The community offers four floor plans in total: two studio and two one-bedroom. The studio apartments are affordable and convenient, creating a perfect environment for people who want to downsize during their retirement. Studios offer one large living area that doubles as a sleeping space instead of a private bedroom. One-bedroom apartments are larger and offer greater privacy, but may cost more per month than studio floor plans.
Each unit is pet friendly for one small animal, according to the community’s guidelines. Leaving a pet to move to assisted living can be challenging and Curry House encourages their residents to have animal companionship. They assess each pet individually, but most well-behaved animals within the size requirements are accepted.

FAQ
Q: How do I know if Curry House is right for me?
Each person is different and their care needs are unique to them. Some people live their entire retirements receiving in-home care while others more to assisted living and independent living communities to receive around-the-clock care.
Curry House is an outstanding choice for people who need mild to moderate personal care. They made need help with their activities of daily living, medication management, or housekeeping to make their retirement as easy and relaxing as possible. However, there are a few questions people can ask themselves to learn if Curry House is the right choice for them:
-
Do they need ongoing medical attention?
-
Are they ambulatory?
-
Do they need rehabilitation
-
Do they have memory impairments, Alzheimer’s or dementia?
Like many other assisted living facilities and independent living communities in Michigan, Curry House is not licensed to provide skilled nursing care on site. As a senior living community, Curry House is not permitted to offer services typical of a medical facility.
The same principle applies to non-ambulatory individuals. Curry House is not equipped to help people who are permanently confined to their beds and they may not admit applicants who are. Nursing homes may be more suitable for people who need ongoing medical attention or who are non-ambulatory.
However, this does not exclude people with living Alzheimer’s or dementia from Curry House. The residence offers a special memory care community specifically for people managing memory impairments, creating an ideal environment for them to flourish. If a person’s Alzheimer’s disease can be managed by non-medical dementia care, Curry House’s memory care program may be an exceptional option for them to retire comfortably.

Living with Alzheimer’s disease can be challenging. Alzheimer’s and dementia present unique obstacles for caregivers, making it important for those living with it to choose the right memory care program.
At Curry House, the Alzheimer’s care staff understand each person’s dementia journey is special to them as an individual. No two people are the same, and Alzheimer’s disease does not present itself the same way in everyone. The staff work closely with each resident create an individualized care routine tailored to their needs, giving people living with Alzheimer’s a secure, soothing environment for them to retire.
Curry House’s memory care community offers the same personal care services as their assisted living community. As an In the Moment® resident, older adults can get assistance with their daily activities, get medication assistance, and enjoy delicious meals like everyone else in the community. The staff integrates structured memory care activities and wellness programs to stimulate each person’s mind and help them learn to live with memory loss.

We had a nice tour experience at Curry House Assisted Living and Memory Care. They were quite helpful. When I left them messages, it wasn't very long and they called me right back. It's a very well-kept facility. All the staff that we ran into was quite knowledgeable. The location though didn't suit us quite as nicely as the other facilities we visited, but the rooms were clean. They got everything you would need or want. They were quite adequate. The particular time we were there, there were quite a lot of activities going on in different areas of the place since it was a bigger place.

Very nice community with assisted living and memory care. In the assisted living section there are several room options. Patio units have doors going outside to outdoor patio areas. One bedroom and studio apartments are available. Staff is friendly. My mom has been here for several years. There are lots of group activities and exercise class daily. It’s very clean and does not smell. Reaidents can order meals from a few choices each meal and the options rotate on a monthly basis. The price varies depending on the level of care needed.
Read moreCurry House Retirement home was immaculate. Employees made me feel right at home. Their three floor plans gave the residents a choice of how they desire to live. Overall, Beckey gave a thorough review of the property.
We love going to see mom. Staff is friendly and helpful. They deserve raises as I know dealing with dementia patients is a lot of work. We are lucky to have them.
Nice. But very understaffed.
