Elaine's Personal Care Home was very nice and that's why I was trying to get my sister in there. We had taken measures to put her in, but things changed because of the situation with my sister. I had no problem with Elaine's. I was very impressed with it. The layout was fine. To me, I think it it suited to what we need. The area was well maintained. It was very conducive too as far as I could tell. The room was fine and well maintained. The particular room that she was going to be in had a bathroom within the room. The size was sufficient for what she needed. There was a small seating area. I don't know about the activities, but they did offer three meals per day plus two or three snacks. They had nursing care and physician care. The physician came in and did blood pressure checks and everything like that. They also provided prescription assistance if you want to have your prescriptions transferred there. I met one lady and she was very friendly and cordial, and the director was very impressive. Out front, they had areas where they could sit out on the porch and an area in the back. I didn't go in the back to view it, but I think they had facilities where they could go out, sit, and take a walk. I was very impressed with it. I didn't get a chance to see how they operate, but from what I was shown and from the response and answer to my questions, they seemed to be up to it and professional. It was very well kept and very clean. It didn't have any odor or anything like that.

I moved into Elaine's Personal Care Home a couple of weeks ago. I chose it for the price. The staff is nice. It's a house, and I wish the rooms were bigger, but it is what it is. It's private, and it seems to be pretty quiet, so you hardly hear anybody else. It's clean. I'm not very happy with the food; some things are pretty good, then there's things that aren't . I'm a diabetic, and I let them know that. I keep getting stuff that I shouldn't eat, but by the time they get it to me, I'm hungry anyway, because I only eat three times a day, so I just eat what they give me. The bed's a little crooked, and I told them about that, and I need a response back on it.
