The gardens was great at first. Things really changed. My mother fell and I wasn’t notified. The rule is if someone falls in a facility they must call paramedics also notify the family member listed. They didn’t do that. My mother has 2 bed sores on her bottom. When I came in her room nurse hurried and changed her diaper. I wanted to see sores. The bandage was dirty. I asked her to please get new bandage. She said I don’t do that. They only do that once a week!!!!!!!!! I was applaud! Her food was nasty and ice cold! Not fit for a dog! Also my mother and every residents tv’s were all jacked up!!!!! Lines in the pictures and jumping. When I asked a maintenance man about . He said it was caused by wind storm!! I said that Happened a month prior!!! He said they called a guy to come out but they didn’t come!!! He said I would have to talk to another person but he’s home sick! The worst of the worst Is they haven’t given my mom her depression pills since day one. Dec. 31st!!! Today is January 26th I found this out by asking the caseworker in the office up front. I asked about is she taking her depression pill? He looked up and said no we don’t show that she is depressed but he said it did say she has bouts of depression!!!!!!!!!!!! I said she has been taking it for years! You cannot stop taking cold Turkey!!!! I know I’m on the same medicine Cymbalta !!!!!!!!!!! So, I knew something was terribly wrong with my mom. She sobs cries so hard. This is the boughts he referred too I guess! She is not the same person she was. She hates it there. Only one lady that is nice to her. The rest are awful! Not friendly. Oh but they were over the top friendly in the very beginning. My mom stated to me” you have no idea what they are like” I definitely got a glimpse!!!! I am at home sobbing now! My mom was crying so hard she was scared she said! This breaks my heart. My mom also said good luck getting someone to get into the room. They kept her door closed day and night. She wants the door open! Her roommate stated the same. The nurse told me the roommate wanted it closed! A lie! Roommate said no I want it open!!!!!!! The nurse said they have to keep door closed at night! Going to get my mom the hell out some how! Oh, you’ll see they have a 4.9 rating but if you scroll down the list online it’s a 2.9 rating!!!!!! It’s listed twice!

If I could give The Gardens 10 stars I would! My mother has been a full time resident there for three years and it''s been such a wonderful experience for her and our entire family. All of the residents get so much love and attention, not just from the nursing staff, but from everyone that works there. From the lunchroom staff to the maintenance department, they all take time to talk to the residents and make them feel special. Another thing that is so outstanding is how well the staff works together and how much they like each other. They absolutely love what they do and they love doing it together. On the physical/therapy side....You just can''t get better nursing care!

I have a relative that is in this care facility. I am impressed with how they manage her health care needs and provide all other living requirements from meals, laundry, activities, etc. She is always happy. She has only good things to say about the staff and her time at the facility. When I visit in person or virtually for periodic health care reviews the staff outlines the history and plan for her health care needs. They cover all the issues completely and seek feedback from me and my relative. Before COVID 19, I could go into the facility. The staff was pleasant to me and the residents the entire time I was in it. I observed them going out of their way to help and assist persons in the building. I am very happy my relative is a resident of this facility and I never worry about her health and safety.
