If you talk to the residents of Harvard Park without the management being around, you will probably find out that this place is not what they say it is. They talked me into moving here by telling me that they have housekeeping every week, that you get 3 gourmet meals a day, and that they have a bus driver to take you wherever you need to go. The problem is for the 2 years that I have lived here I have never had my room cleaned every week. They can not keep maids here. They don't treat them right or pay them enough. The food is horrible. They served us beef pot pies with nothing in them. They were just crust that was it. And when I complained they said that that was all there was. As for the bus driver. They could not find a bus driver because of the odd hours they want him to work. The only thing that you can count on at Harvard Park is that they will raise your rent every year. Some people had their rent raised over $[removed]. Where are people on a fixed income suppose to get that?

Holiday Harvard Park is fantastic. The staff members are happy, and they're good. I can't say enough good things about it. You could have a lot of care. You could have a little bit of care. It's for people that want to stay living. It's independent living, but the neat thing here is that they have certified CNAs that you can hire on your own and you can adjust it as you need it. If you need help about three days a week, you schedule that person and they work it out between you and the person. For people that don't need a lot of help, they could still have help. They give you a device that you push the button if you ever have a fall or are ever hurt or you're lost. The general manager has been here 13 years. Their new sales lady has lived here with her mom who was going through cancer. They're always concerned. I was blown away. They're fantastic.

We toured Holiday Harvard Park. We went into different rooms. They've got the biggest rooms among the places we visited, and the cost was reasonable. We met the chef. The people were great. You couldn't ask for anything better. The staff was outgoing and very friendly. The residents that we met were friendly. Everything was really clean. I couldn't believe how clean it was. They had a hairstylist. They had game rooms. They were playing bingo in one of the rooms when we got there. They had crafts, and I saw knitting and painting.
