I can''t say enough wonderful things about Havenwood. My mother has Parkinson''s and has been on her own since Dad passed away so she was very nervous about this transition but Kristin and company rolled out the red carpet to a beautiful community full of vibrant people and a variety of activities for her to enjoy everyday. Anytime I''ve ever had a question I get a call back immediately if somebody doesn''t just answer the phone straight away. I''ll be the first person to say that my mom is "very particular" *wink* and the staff always greet all of her requests with a smile and prompt service. It makes the place my husband and I live in look like a slumland lol Thank you again Havenwood for changing my mother''s quality of life and helping her enjoy as much independence as she can in this chapter of her life. She loves all of her new friends, both the residents and the staff!

My memories of senior living go all the way back to the 70''s and 80''s when my grandma and my own mom lived in a skilled nursing "facility". So, I''ve always thought that is what every senior living place is like. My daughter works at Havenwood and has been encouraging me to come sometime and visit, just so I could see Havenwood of Burnsville and see that it is not a "facility". I finally decided to go and visited on a day when they were having live music. It was so much fun to see the show and watch the residents as they sang along and visited with each other. I couldn''t help but notice how much the residents seemed to really care about each other and enjoy each other''s company. The staff was engaging with everyone and the building itself is beautiful, it is nothing like the skilled nursing "facility" I remembered. Every staff member I encountered was kind and truly seemed to love their job. And the residents I got to sit with and talk to could not say enough about how much they love living at Havenwood of Burnsville. Because my daughter works there I''ve also been able to enjoy the food when she brings a meal home. The food is delicious which again, is not something that I was expecting based on my own previous experiences with the skilled nursing "facility" my grandma and mom lived in. While I myself am not looking for senior living, after visiting Havenwood of Burnsville I would not hesitate to tell anyone I know that may be looking for senior living, to go visit Havenwood. You won''t be disappointed!

My aunt moved into Havenwood of Burnsville. The main reason we chose this facility was because of the monthly rent. She is on Social Security, and it was in her price range. The facility is only three years old. It's very nice and clean. It's a good location for my aunt. The lady who showed us around was very personable, nice, and helpful. My aunt is in independent living. If she eventually needs it, she can get assisted living. Another thing we really liked about this facility is that she doesn't have to move from her room. She can get assisted living help in her same room. She wouldn't have to move to a different wing or building. I know that they have a deli, which is so nice, so my aunt can go down there. One thing that I was very disappointed in was that they only go to the store once or maybe twice a month. Not everybody has a car, and my aunt does not have a car. They should have weekly transportation for these elders to go to the store. They have different activities that they offer. They constantly have puzzles going on in there. They have Bible studies and a library. I was impressed that her monthly rent payment was considerably lower than other places. It's a newer facility and does offer quite a bit.
