I have nothing but good things to say about this facility. The entire staff in all departments was always genuinely kind, caring and friendly and catered to my every need. They always had my best interests in mind. The facility was clean and well maintained. Personally I thought the food was excellent. I actually ate better there than I do at home. If I could give 10 stars I certainly would!

My mother was in need of rehabilitation care at the beginning of March of 2023. They did an outstanding job with her rehab care at The Inn at Freedom Village. The activities team also did a great job-stopping by each day, more than once a day-to bring snacks, newspapers, daily activities, and just to talk with her. The nursing staff was exceptional-and helped with scheduling and transportation when my mom needed additional surgery.

My 92 year old aunt has had to move from the Lakes to Copper Harbor. The move has been VERY hard for her. Giving up so much independence has been so difficult. The staff has tried and continues to try to help her but in her case timing and patience is everything along with timely follow through on issues as she’s settling in. She realizes staff is stretched. The biggest issue is the food. It’s always cold when it’s should be at least warm. The coffee is always cold, the toast is cold and hard. The staff will reheat drinks and foods but think about a pancake needing to be reheated…it’s like rubber. It’s not only my aunt who is unhappy with the food and how it’s served. These elders have lost so much as they’ve aged. Having a good, hot meal should be the norm and something to look forward to. Thank you for hearing me out. My aunt is very aware and realizes she needs the help from Copper Harbor but it broke my heart yesterday when she said she hated it there.
