Hello to whoever is reading this review. I hope you take some of these negative reviews into consideration. On February 9 2024, I was treated unkindly by an administrator and even talked about after the situation that occurred . How I found out was from one CNA and resident. It all started when I was sitting in the dining area with my family and some other resident friends about to start playing card games in the dining area. I was told by the activity coordinator that there was a meeting that was about to happen at 3 pm so we had to move. One of my resident friends had asked a staff member if we could move our game time into the back enclosed dining parlor. Which we was told “yes why not, they will let y’all know if you need to move”. As we are going in and getting seated the administrator approached us and told us to leave out. I proceeded to ask well where else can we go, he told me to go to the tv/activity room. I personally felt like we were shooed away in somewhat of a rude manner. I only say this because there was 3 places the meeting could have happened that would have been perfect for them. There is two particular reasons why we don’t go to the tv/activity room. One is because there is a resident who gives us a hard time so I still respect her and the area she is in, so we avoid it. The other is that there are other residents in there doing their own thing so we don’t want to be disruptive. We proceeded to go where we were told to go. The group and I encountered a resident hyperventilating, holding her hand to her mouth like she is biting her nails, and also trembling. I had asked her twice if she was ok and was signaled by head movement that she was not ok. I also asked twice if she needed a nurse she shook her head yes. I knew something wasn’t right because I’ve never seen her act that way and this had been going on for 5 minutes. I go up and down the hallways but there was no staff in sight and lots of call light bells were going off. I then proceeded to go to the dining room where the 20 minutes or more meeting was happening. I walk all the way around to avoid a complete disruption to get a staff member’s help. I felt judged for trying to get help by 2 main staff/administrator. I was told that they are trying to have a meeting and the other staff member had to put in their uncalled two sense as well, the demeanor and tone was just unkind from both. Now after this review let’s see the sarcasm, fake talk, and treatment I will endure more of. Just because they are upset with me, please pray for the care and treatment of my momma she had nothing to do with this.

I’m agreeing to my sister Turista L. To the people they call administrators have no sympathy nor any remorse, also weirdly getting touchy with each other. These people are in healthcare but lack common sense and seem dumb founded when someone expresses their emotion or mental incapacity. They will personally hold a grudge or easily get offended so please be aware that they will neglect your loved one. I promise the reason you don’t hear any issues is because people are afraid to speak up and if they do most of the time nothing gets done because they cover each others butt. Just know nighttime is terrible to it’s hard to find staff nor get any help. I hate smartphones because these staff members are addicted. I also hate any tobacco/nicotine use because staff go and disappear to do that too much. I get we are all human we make mistakes we are not perfect but some of these staff always are having a “bad day”. I sit back and observe, I understand most mental health and that’s not why they act the way they do. There are so many bad things I’ve encountered that was done to my family, friends, and residents. One thing I almost forgot to mention is that staff fail to make proper reports and to notify family about important/emergency information about the resident. This speech is coming from someone who visits this facility as often as they can make it and at different hours of the day. So glad our mother is out of this facility.

Terrible nursing home for your loved one if they have to stay longer than a month. Y’all should connect the dots to why they are the best nursing home of the state, reason being is because they are tied to atrium health so they already get brownie points for the big name. When state comes they start doing things that have never been done and they be coaching residents so they don’t look bad. They be looking like chickens with their heads cut off but I promise it’s just a front. I hate to say this but the only way you are going to get treated well is if your in your right mind, can help yourself, paying out of pocket, and if you’re white. The facility claims residents have rights but they invade their privacy, snoop through belongings, pick and choose who they want to in force their “rules” on. Another ick is that staff have been skipping out on residents showers, they already only get two showers a week. They are also so rough with your loved ones when it’s shower day, the residents be getting bruised up and scraped up without a fall happening. The cnas go and hide in the shower rooms to avoid work and chit chat. People always say treat others how you want to be treated or put yourself in others shoes but they are blind to that. Think about the people who have no voice or scared to speak up because they are scared of being neglected, staff being petty or immature. Even the staff that seem kind or caring are really not most of the staff put on a front, once you leave man it’s terrible how their attitudes and care can be. I will let you know who are the best nurses Jodie or Jody, phu phu, Erica, Nancy, and Vicky :)

Because "they are short staffed" they refuse to warm cold food up for patients.....even "inmates/prisoners" still have access to microwaves....
