Teena Turner is nothing but problems. Her neglect towards staff members, and even patients is disgusting. She doesn''t follow up, nor keep her word. She''s a parasite, plain and simple.

There really should be an audit conducted on the quality of care provided. I believe some of the care staff really wanted my mom to be done forever! she is about to be discharged and the SS''s Director has been rude and condecending; I almost lost it today! They have labeled my mother as a "hermit", messed up on her meds, and neglected proper treatment, after several trips to the hospital ER my spidey senses are up..looking forward to ending this stereotypical relationship... most of the reviews here helped me believe my Mom has valid complaints! Sorry I didn''t take the time to listen to her and hope others will be aware, active and advocating for loved ones - so do not sleep while they are here!

I worked here from an outside agency. the nurse on duty who had been working there for a long time-pregnant (has a mother also working there- a cna), was very short with me, no help whatsoever, im not sure if I should blame her bad behavior and bad attitude because she is pregnant, but this should not be the case- my advise to you: don''t wear the nurse badge if you continue to have an attitude to people and does not help when ask a question, you ignore and you don''t answer but just continue to keep your head down? don''t play favorites to your mother from other c.n.a''s! come to work with no attitude- a resident was asking for you in the morning and you couldn''t come to her about lunch time. res. was very upset. the only thing that came out good when I was working there is the employee cna working there- was very nice, took the time to help me with difficult res., I let her know my issues, she said that she has been working there a while and she still doesn''t get treated right. she doesn''t understand either why they keep this nurse! the other agency girl who work there as contracted employee, did not seem wanna help me either but only did cause a resident was asking for her, although spend her time on & off at the nurses station talking with the nurse? there''s bad & good in each facility but bad attitude, unfriendly, doesn''t help and has power issues- you don''t fit in this field! I will never come and work here. Only because you set that example for the company you work for.

My father stayed there 5 years ago to recover from surgery after a broken hip. They were good at providing meals, but other services were sorely lacking. My father requested additional rehabilitation to increase his strength, but they stopped rehab (weight exercises, etc) after the first weeks. I was forced to intervene and speak to the floor manager''s supervisor. Thankfully, my father was discharged soon after. I wouldn''t recommend Avamere to anyone.
Read moreSpent 3 weeks there after spine surgery. Good to poor care, depending on day and time. Food was totally inedible! Awesome RCM Shannon, PT David. Would NOT recommend it!!!!
