Legacy House of Ogden was very good. However, they didn't have a lot of space outside to be able to walk around, which is an important aspect for my father. The room that they showed me was probably the best of the ones that I toured yesterday. They were very impressive. If I was moving into an apartment, it seemed like an apartment that I would want to move into. Unfortunately, the person who normally does the tours wasn't available, but they had a good secondary person who was able to answer some of my questions. She was going beyond her actual capacity, so some of the questions that I had, particularly the important ones about pricing and things like that, she wasn't quite able to answer. The staff was unfortunately not quite as knowledgeable, but she did do a very good job of showing me around. The dining area was restaurant style, but it seemed rather small for the number of people who stayed there, so that was a little bit concerning for me. It seemed a little bit cramped and a bit small if you're having set meal times. For amenities, they had a dining hall and activity rooms. Their issue was that they didn't have much outside walking space and it's near the main road so it's kind of concerning. They have offsite activities. Again, what I noticed were standard things like being able to go to Walmart or eat out as well as visit places like the Train Museum and some local things that they're able to go to like monthly or so.

They showed us one-bedroom, we couldn't see a two-bedroom because they didn't have one available, so they had a one-bedroom and a studio. They were very nicely done with clean carpets. I like that about them, when someone moves out, before the next people come in, they recarpet it, which I loved. They have activities, I think they have a lot available. They had a TV area and they had a pool table, and kind of a gathering area which was nice. They had a lovely courtyard area, it wasn't really big, but it was nice.

My sister-in-law moved into Legacy House of Ogden. It's very clean, and so far we're very pleased with how it is run, and the help we get from the employees and the people there. It's kind of tough right now where we can't go in and visit her and help her, but they're really good to help us out, and so we really appreciate that. It seemed like a very nice facility. It was right down the street from the rehab center she was in, so it was a short move for her.

My grandfather lived there for almost 10 years. Although it was difficult for him after we lost my grandma, we all felt the love from everyone at Legacy from day one. He always told everyone how happy he was living there, and we got to visit him all the time and had a lot of fun together as a family at their special events. The food was fantastic, we would often join him for lunch and he even gained weight after he moved in! I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for assisted living to choose Legacy House, they know everyone by name and treat you and yours just like family. I know they truly loved my grandpa.

Legacy House of Ogden seemed very nice, but I did not like the memory care center. I did not like the outside space or the small living area. The room was huge and you could make a little living room there, but I didn't like the way the memory care was laid out. The girl who gave us the tour was only 16 and she only worked there on Saturdays; I was really disappointed that they didn't have someone who was more familiar with the place to give us a tour. The main dining room was beautifully set up and looked easy for the residents to get around, but the dining room in the memory care was crowded and I didn't like it. It wasn't homey or open. They also have skinnier hallways than other places.
