I am writing this review because of the horrible communication that I have had with this particular facility. I needed to put my father in a nursing home and was making calls to several places. I called to speak with admissions at Lifecare of Redbank. I left 3 messages with Jennifer and even tried to have her paged. I finally spoke with the director, Dan, and he had her call me back and apologized for the inconvenience. I went and met with Jennifer and toured the facility. She asked me to submit a general admission form from the assisted living my father was at. I did so and then tried to call to make sure she received it. She never returned my call. My father had an accident at the assisted living and was admitted to the hospital. We agreed that my dad could not go back to assisted living. The case worker at the hospital then tried to help with arrangements at the nursing home. She called and left several messages with Jennifer, who NEVER returned any calls. I understand if you cannot or do not have any space in your facility but the unprofessionalism demonstrated by their admissions person is unacceptable. I would not feel comfortable sending my father to a place where nobody in management is checking on how their staff is performing their job.

My dad had the misfortune of staying in this “care” facility after a total knee replacement surgery. The nurses were extremely rude, zero compassion, and simply there just to collect a paycheck. At one point he had to call 911 from his cell phone because no one would answer his call light request. Also important to note my dad is the last person in the world to complain about anything. When I told him I was getting him moved to Siskin you could hear the relief in his voice. Highly recommended staying away from this prison, as my dad called it, when looking at options for your loved ones.

My mom was there for 10 days and couldn''t get her out of there fast enough and transfer to Life Care of Hixson. She was there to recover from a recent fall and they rarely got her out of bed, dressed, or taken to the bathroom. Over the last weekend she was kept in the same gown in bed and never helped to a chair the entire weekend. They gave her diapers and was told to just use them. When she pushed the button to call for help it would take on average 45 min for someone to come, if they even came at all. She would call me and then I would have to call the main phone number to get someone to come. I ask one of the attendant''s why she hadn''t got out of the bed late in the day and she said they didn''t have enough help and only had 2 attendant''s for the entire station. That is management''s problem and no excuse. I told her thanks for what she was trying to do. One time they brought her food, didn''t raise her up in her bed to eat, and she laid there for over an hour before someone would come help her sit up and of course food was cold by then.
