Mary, Queen of Angels was a lovely place with many facilities for people. They have nice grounds, rooms, views outside and inside, and transportation. Everything I saw was very clean. They had a movie theater, cocktail hour, breakfast rooms, dining rooms, and many different things to offer. I talked to several residents, and they said the food was very good. The staff members were lovely and answered all my questions. It was a very nice visit.

I got a relative who lives at Mary, Queen of Angels, and they seem like they are taking care of him and that they care. The other facility we visited didn't offer many services, but this one went out of their way to make sure we understood all the stuff they were going to do for him. They do room cleaning and laundry once a week, they'll play music or have movies, and different things that they do every day. Everything is really clean, and that's one thing that really impressed us. Everybody is nice and welcoming. It's like they're going out of their way to be nice to him. All the residents get along with each other and he's made a lot of friends real quick. He feels really at ease, so I think it's a very good value, because they even gave him a discount off of their normal rate.

My mom has been in Mary, Queen of Angels for a week now. The community is absolutely wonderful. Everyone is very, very focused on the residents and want them to celebrate life every day. There's a lot of activities, and there's a lot of engagement with the residents and staff. One thing I felt very comfortable with was that many of their staff have been there between 10 and 15 years. To me, that meant a lot because if the staff is happy, that means there's good management there. You don't have big turnovers all the time, and they're very well staffed. My mom's room is a private room, and that's what we wanted for her was to have her own room. It is very well appointed. We like it. The place is spotless. We've been in and out just about every day, and it's clean. It's absolutely spotless. I'm very, very impressed with them. It was the best fit for my mom. It's a smaller community, and it feels much more homey and welcoming. My mom has already been to arts and crafts. She's been to bingo, and I believe she's been to mass. They have mass every day there. They had music being played there have live music for the holidays. They have a lot of activities; I don't even know them all yet. My mom's really enjoying it though because she says she enjoys getting out of the room and interacting with everyone. The food is excellent, and the dining area is also excellent. It's a full house when it's mealtime. To me, it's a good sign that they're offering type of food that the residents want. It's healthy. They have a dietitian on staff, which is important to us because my mom's a diabetic. The full experience has been a Godsend.

Mom moved into Mary, Queen of Angels. My mom chose it because she was familiar with the location, and she had friends she used to visit there. The staff seems to be helpful, she seems to be liking the food, and they've been trying to accommodate her and fix stuff, and if she doesn't like what they have, they'll bring her a burger and things. The facilities are very nice, my mom's been very surprised and very pleased. The amenities are good, but some things are limited due to the restrictions now. I think they're starting to let them go for one meal to the dining room. They're good about calling back.
