My mom has lived here for just about a year and we recently moved my mother in law here as we liked it so much. The staff has always been caring and helpful in regards to taking care of my mom. They always have listened to any concerns we have had and are amazing with the residents and keeping them happy and engaged. They truly care about them and the families. With recently moving my mother in law in we have always celebrated the Easter vigil together for 40 years. They offered to have us have a big table in a room to continue this tradition. It was so thoughtful and so appreciated. I would highly recommend if you are ever looking for a place for a loved one I would recommend it. They have done an amazing job and we as a family now having 2 family members here could not be more happy with the choice we have made.

After an assessment at a local dementia hospital, they said they could handle my wife's behavioral issues. They did not follow the medication guideline from The Bronson Lakeview facility and at the end of the first full day sent her to the Bronson ER after an altercation with a poorly trained "med tech". The ER doctor called me and said she was calm and cooperative and they were sending her back. The next morning the facility manage and I found her sitting on the floor because no one had came and helped her get around for the morning . The following morning I found her alone in the dining area trying to find food with her hands because they were not helping and had not given her her glasses to see. I gave my 30 day notice that day. In the three weeks she was there she was showered twice. I was told that I could not do it because of liability. This was their High care level building for severe dementia residents. If your loved one needs help, go elsewhere!

I just had my first day at Vibrant Life facility. I own and run LindzStylz Hair and Makeup Salon. I have known about them for years now. My father Jerry Ball does guitar and accordian concert for them. He has always spoke so highly of the facility and staff. I have over 20 years of experience with hair and makeup. I also went to KCC and worked as a PCA for years. I love working with the older generations. It is something I have missed. When approached by Vibrant Life I wasn''t sure I would have enough time to do both. Let me tell you after my first day I will make the time. I was so excited when I first walked in. Everyone was warm and inviting. The facility felt more like a home. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I finished my 1st day I felt so incredibly blessed. I love reminiscing and hearing about all my clients amazing adventures and family''s. I always see everyone beauty inside and out. I am so proud and incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to help my clients see it to. Making them feel beautiful and confident is one of my favorite parts of this job. It warms my heart and truly feels like a huge blessing spending this one on one time with them. I am so Excited to become part of the amazing team at Vibrant Life! I will Always give 120 percent. My daughter Dulcie has always been in my salon. I feel it is important for her to be around this generation and part of things. She loves engaging and helping the clients visit with our dog Lilli. I liked the fact that Vibrant Life Senior Living, New Friends-Kalamazoo was broken up into different homes/cottages. I think they have no more than 18 to 24 people per home and everyone has a private room, which is nice. However, only less than 50 percent of the employees had been tested for COVID, and for us, that was a big thing. The shower also had a big lip that you had to step over to get in, and that's one of the major issues we have since my mother-in-law is a fall risk, but it was a nice unit. There were sections where a lot of things were piled up, like the little rec room area, it could have been more organized. The gentleman that gave me the tour though was fine. He did very well.
