It is truly the staff that make a difference and the employees and staff at Oak Knoll did just that for my mother. I can say without a doubt that my mom received exceptional care from those that interacted with her on a daily basis. I spent a lot of time with my mom at Oak Knoll and witnessed first hand the care that she received, and, it went well beyond just care. There were several times when I saw a staff member interact with my mom with a genuine sense of kindness and love that exceeded a duty or obligation. I knew that my mom was being truly ''cared for'' and not just being ''taken care of''. I am truly thankful for everyone at Oak Knoll.

A few weeks ago, I started my journey for finding quality care for my loved one for future needs. I decided to inquire about Oak Knoll due to positive feedback from friends. It began with a phone call to the facility where the receptionist, admissions office, business office, and a nurse in charge were extremely receptive to my inquiries (other facilities in the area left me feeling as though I bothered them by asking simple questions!! I found myself apologizing for offering the potential of a lovely elderly woman to care for!). After this first impression, followed by quick, yet thorough follow-up questions asked by Oak Knoll staff, I chose this lovely home for my loved one. Due to the pre-admission questions asked of me, they were able to adapt a plan of care that suited my family member beyond expectations. My loved one is happy and after each visit (though pre-scheduled until I complete my series of vaccinations) I leave knowing she is in the best hands possible. Thank you Oak Knoll for giving me peace of mind!

Beware of this place. Do NOT put your loved ones here. They are always short staffed and short tempered (especially the weekends). They are abusive to the patients and unresponsive when the help button is pushed. Very rude to family members. Phone calls continually go unanswered and if you do get through they just pretty much grunt at you and don''t answer questions. No PT was completed and I had to move my relative from there to a different rehab facility as they were useless. Food was inedible. Seriously, if you love your family member, please reconsider sending them here! For the life of me, I have no clue why they are rated a 3 star facility.

DO NOT SEND your loved one to this place! They are lairs and give you false information on how they are doing. They told us he was getting 2 hours of physical therapy when he wasn’t getting any at all. My Dad fell out of his bed and they found him on the floor. They didn’t call for an ambulance right away to bring him to the hospital to be checked out. He is on blood thinner medication were they should have responded quickly. My family was not notified of his fall. The sent him off to the hospital without any medication list to Metrowest Hospital so they have no idea what he is taking for medication or when was the last time he got his medications. I called and spoke with the ER nurse at the Metrowest hospital stated according to the report he fell yesterday and he is currently unresponsive!

When you looking at this place, take a look upstairs.... Aides are spread thin. Some didn''t speak much English. Also, difficult or with families that complain to authorities, they will kick pt out to hospital then not take them back! Food will be wrong for diet. Nurses may disallow going to downstairs to activity if not convenient for next pill. I saw my dad''s nurse force several large pills at once down his throat so she''d spend no more than 10 seconds with him. It took 30 min for bathroom request to be heeded. Some were not. Loads of painful finger stabs for blood even though my dad was blind and needed to feel for his radio (never any help with even just turn it off and on)
