We went to look at Oak Pointe of Neosho for my mom. Their price is higher for the same amount of space as the other one we ended up choosing for her. But this place was very lovely and very new; it's only been there a few years. The staff was very, very nice, and the director that we met with was fantastic. Their reception area and dining room were beautiful, and everybody from the kitchen that was out in the dining room when I walked by said hi and welcome. So everybody there was very accommodating and welcoming. They showed us where the activities take place, where they had physical therapy, and all the different things offered. We looked at a one-bedroom, which was also similar to the room in the community we ended up choosing for Mom. It had a nice closet, but it wasn't a walk-in closet, and they didn't have as much storage space. The rooms looked into a beautiful center courtyard which had gardens and pet turtles. The residents also plant strawberries and different fruits and vegetables. They have facilities like a salon, a library, and a family private dining area.

My dad moved into the memory care unit at Oak Pointe of Neosho. He's only been there for about a week now, and so far it's been a good experience. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions I had, and they're very accessible. From what I'm hearing, he thinks the food is all right. We haven't been able to see the room in person, but the building looks good. It's a newer one and very pleasing from what we saw.
