They were very clean and thorough with the presentation and staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The room sizes and accommodations are very good. I would recommend Park Visalia Assisted Living and Memory Care to other families who are looking.
I would tell others that the gardens at Park Visalia are very pretty, and they do allow pets, ( but for an charge extra). Overall though I'm more than just a little disappointed at this point in our experience here.
The staff are very caring and helpful if you have a problem to discuss they will try to solve it for you. Areas they could improve: More variety on the food menu and a better way to serve the residents. Overall they do a great job in the Memory Care .

The community does well with keeping memory care residents occupied with games crafts and social interactions. The community fails to keep track of my husband's clothes. They are marked with his name and many are missing. He shows up wearing clothes that are not his. However, the clothes he ends up with are clean and in good condition. I chose Park Visalia on a recommendation and I knew he would be kept busy everyday by what I saw when I visited. Also the ratio of men and women was good. I do not worry about him there. Therefore, I have better peace of mind.

For the most part, they have a lot of interaction with the residents there. As far as the size of the rooms and the size of the facility per capita, it's very good. Something that set them apart from the many other places that I visited was the fact that they have private bathrooms AND showers for the residents - all the others were a shared arrangement. To me, that's a big deal. The meals are actually very good and very well balanced. This is a place I would go to myself if I needed it.

The shower is walk in with no edge to have to step up over, unlike a different facility that we toured- their shower had a 3" step that I was afraid my dad would trip over. The only carpet was in his studio, it was low pile, easy to maneuver through. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
