We're using Partners in Care. The biggest things they offered has been good assessment and good recommendations for what I need to have for my friend. The staffing on all the shifts has been good. So far, all the staff people we received have been excellent. They're just aides, not nursing care like home assistance. They help with meals. They help clean up in the kitchen, bathroom, and his room. They change his bed, do his laundry, take his medications to him (they don't give him his medications), and help him with transfers. He's got to be able to do most of the getting up out of bed and into the wheelchair himself, but they assist him with that on standby. We've got two shifts a day with a different person for each shift. We have four caregivers who come back repeatedly, but we still have a number of new people coming in. The big advantage is that if someone can't make it, I have to either cover it or find a caregiver; they provide that coverage, which to me is a huge advantage. We're doing two four-hour shifts, seven days a week. The pricing is a little bit on the higher end of the range, but it's been worth it. The fact that I've not had to worry about all these things has made it very worthwhile. They keep me up-to-date on the scheduling and all those things.
Read moreWe did only use them twice. WE chose Partner in Care because of their availability and they were recommended to us. We met with them and it seemed like a good fit, I would recommend to others looking.

My mother has people helping her from A Better Living Home Care. We needed somebody that can communicate, and somebody who can relate to her being that she is pretty old. She is happy she can communicate. She can socialize but she really wants somebody she can socialize with and they're pretty good people in that regards. She needs help getting around sometimes and taking showers, and they do that. They also help her with all the things she needs. Better Living had one caregiver out there and she is really good. She communicated really well, and in dealing with her I found that she is really good. But she did not have her credentials or something or proper licensing, so they had to cancel her out and we got somebody else. My mom is pretty satisfied with her, but I don't know too much about her because I have never met her. Mom has some memory problems, a little bit of dementia, so sometimes she cannot remember. I have not really communicated with Better Living in quite a while so I can't really say too much more.
