Admission staff are great until you arrive & then they disappear. I needed a SNF for rehab after a fall. I was the youngest person there, & the ground floor looks nice until arriving upstairs. Getting water alone was a heavy task. I was appreciative of the staff; nurses and CNA''s which helped otherwise you have to wait & can lay in feces & urine until someone finally gets up. The staff hate their jobs & are extremely understaffed. You barely get food, even if on a regular cardiac meal. Food shows up when the kitchen can get to it. The PT & OT staff are amazing. I would hang out in the gym just to get off the 2nd floor. I had to be moved to another room as the other person in their made it quite clear I was unwelcome. He also claimed he had pneumonia, I have a compromised immune system, & expressed I wanted to be moved. My roommate spoke no English; only Russian so I would use Google translate so he had someone to talk to. It''s a give & get environment. When you give (nicely) you get things you need. The nurse practitioner took me off almost all my meds, and I was lucky to see him for more than 1 minute after my 1st in which he just reviewed & removed my meds including blood pressure meds. Your blood pressure or sugar are never checked, and I found 2 elderly residents having sex in a room. There is a beautiful pond with turtles in it and one of those residents pulled down his pants and urinated in the pond with no repercussion. I had to ask for a mask at times due to the smell of feces and urine not cleaned up. The only good part was PT and OT, and using my wheelchair to roll around the parking lot. I had to order food from an app because there was barely any food or snacks. I had a doctor''s appt, and they claimed I needed an aide which you are charged $15/hr for. I wasn''t even gone for a hour, and was charged for 2 1/2 hours which came out of a business account they make you setup for things like that. The aide told me she worked there for 16 years, & only got 3 raises each of $0.35, & how bad it was there. The driver is super cool, but unless I was dying, would never go again. I plan on visiting some residents who I became friendly with, if they let me on the property. There is nothing to do all day but vegetate in your bed. With the help of OT and PT, I begged for help to get me out of there as quickly as possible, and was able to be discharged within 2-3 days. They have some activities such as bingo, but I was the only man in there, and it was sad. If I had to wait longer, it would have been bad mentally & physically. Because I was alert & oriented, I was able to get out fast. I''d look around for other facilities as employees are 2 faced, & completely rude unless you kill them with kindness. Sam, Dana, & Blossom had great personalities, but you didn''t want to be on their bad sides. I think everyone is just overworked, underpaid, and overwhelmed.
Read moreI rather die than be in this nursing home! So glad I took my Dad away from this horrible place!
The Therapy department at this facility is the best I have ever worked with the nurses were very attentive to my concerns, and overall amazing customer service by all the staff. Highly recommend this facility for your Loved ones.
I own Golden Smile Adult Day Care and I have recommended Regents Park Aventura to many of my participants. Few are at Regents went through rehab and few are in the Nursing home section. All families that I recommended are happy

I will forever be grateful to the staff at Rgents Park at Aventura, and especially to Natasha the intake coordinator for going above and beyond to facilitate my mothers placement at this facility. Whe my mother got there she was barely able to move ,or take care of her activities of daily living. She had to return to the Hospital on several occasions, and each time Natasha stayed in touch with us and facilitated her return to this facility .My Mother always wanted to return to this facility when her stay in the hospital had come to an end.Natasha always walked us through the process with the insurance company, in oder to get her back to the facility. The work that they did with my mother is nothing short of miraculous. My mother is now at home walking with the assistance of a cane, cooking, and taking care of her activities of daily living. Thank you all for the great work that you did for my mother, and our family.

Regents Park at Aventura is truly the place where I found in love with senior healthcare and realized that is the industry where I want to grow professionally. The experience I had during my time with the team was absolutely amazing. They taught me so so much about what means to really care about the residents and do all you can to create a warm and unique environment for them , to be there when they need you and to understand how vital the role of everyone is when is comes down to taking care of our seniors. I will always have them in my heart and will always be grateful for all I learned especially from the Admissions and Marketing department.
