My Dad was just transferred to Sea Cliff Skilled Nursing side with the help of a VA Social Worker. I can not speak of the conditions of the Assisted living side so my comments will be kept only to the skilled nursing side. Upon my dads arrival he was placed in a section with two other roomies, one of which was continuously screaming. My dad sent photos showing the lack of cleanliness. The area he was in was a mess, the floors were covered in food and filth and what appeared even small amounts of fecal and walls were nasty. For my Dad , this was suppose to be a temp stay having sustained a back injury that has left him unable to care for himself, pending a near future back surgery. He was there for 8 hours before he spoke with a nurse and he never saw a doctor. This lead to him to not getting his meds for his back pain. In short, my father had such a horrible first impression and long enough stay that he checked himself out of the facility around 4am and took an UBER back to his home. My Dads health had decreased quick because of his back injury. He lives by himself and my brother and I live out of state, with me living clear on the East Coast. I tried to facilitate Sea Cliff by the help of a Veterans Affairs Social Worker and by looking at their Website because he could not stay at the facility he had been at because they were not equipped for my dads needs. I can assure you the pictures on the Website do not reflect the photographs I got from my dad of the actual environment my he was subjected too. For him to check himself out without having any help or pain management at his home, take an UBER, it had to be bad. Even my Mom, a retired nurse of 40 years based on photos she rcvd from my dad said the place was a mess. AGAIN… this is only ref the skilled nursing side, not the assisted living. I have NO idea what the care or condition of the assisted living side is in. This first time experience for me believing a Website and its pictures as it comes to care for one of my loved ones has ruined this for me and has traumatized my dad. Flight has already been booked to CA so I can physically tour a temp facility for my dad. Our loved ones deserve better.

My grandfather past away here. This was the worst place to have someone. If there was a way to put zero stars I would. The staff were completely detached and not caring of when patients needed assistance to the restroom or help with changing. Leaving patients to fend for themselves. In one case a nurse threw a towel at a patient who had had an accident and made him clean up himself. The patients were screaming at night not to mention that there was no internet or phone for families to communicate. I don’t usually write negative reviews but this needed to be said.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My friend’s husband was in that facility and to say they neglected her husband is to put it lightly. Her husband had minimal grooming and no ADLs provided. He would be stuck in his room all day and meals were brought to him. He is not able to walk more than a few steps at a time anymore so he was unable to join others in the dining room and day room areas. My friend fought to get him moved and it took 9 months for this happen. She was horrified with the care he received. If you love you family please stay away from this facility. Her husband has been in his new facility for one day now and looks like a completely different man. He lost over 100 lbs at the previous facility and now weighs about 130 lbs which would lead one to believe that he was not getting proper nourishment nor did they address the amount of weight loss he had. She brought hygiene items for him and he never received them and his brand new Nikes were stolen. When asked about the items no one ever knew anything about them. When she would call up there to speak with the social worker, she would leave messages one after another and never get a return call from the social worker. When she would call to be connected to her husband, the operator would put the call through to the nurses station and they would never pick up the call. She was over the moon today when she had seen him and seen how well he looked with the grooming and hygiene they provided him. They are also very nice to him where he is at now. For the love of God, keep your loved ones out of this facility if you want have them around to enjoy them for a longer period of time. I will be following up with licensing agencies and filing formal complaints on this facility. No human deserves their treatment, especially those that can’t defend themselves.
