We've been using Senior Helpers - Central Long Island. They've been very helpful. They gave me a lot of other information to help us pay. They offer a wide range of things because my mother didn't necessarily need someone to bathe her and this and that. I was looking for companionship and physical things, walking, and helping her cook. I like the person that comes. We're doing four to six hours, three to four times a week. Thus far it has been the same caregiver. She likes my mother. I haven't had a problem with the agency. They've been very good. They return the calls we miss. I actually called them when I was in Europe and I missed a message and they called me right back. I don't have anything negative to say.

Senior Helpers has been improving the quality of life for my mother for several years now. Everyone connected with the agency has been most responsive and flexible as our care requirements change and change again. They have gotten to know my mom on a personal level and really understand her specific needs and priorities. Their service helps me tremendously reducing stress and time I would otherwise have to spend managing the different care givers. They are also very effective at dealing with the insurance company that provides long term care benefits. This is an ongoing challenge and another critical factor in successfully caring for mom. Senior Helpers could not possibly do more in this regard as I have had to successfully appeal decisions denying mom's coverage and constantly furnish documentation as my mother's care "re-assessed". Having them on my team and trusting their capabilities makes these battles less time consuming and contributes to the success we have had. In summary, this agency has really come through for my family consistently for several years running.
