My mother has moved into Mercy House Victoria. She had been going there for visitation two or three times a week. She knew the people here, and when she couldn't stay in the rehab facility she was in, this is where she wanted to be. There are only eight places that are for the group that my mother's in. The ratio of staff to people is very small, which is nice. There's also the Alzheimer's unit, which if her Alzheimer's gets bad enough, they'll just transfer her over to the other unit. The staff has been very attentive; in the middle of the afternoon, someone brought her a snack, a grilled cheese sandwich, and she was thrilled about that. They play bingo, they have a back porch where they can go sit and a backyard they can walk around in if they want. They have three meals a day. My mother is in assisted living, they change her and all that. They remodeled, and they redid everything. They got bingo that goes on. They've got a TV room, and my mom's got a computer where she plays a lot of solitaire on it. I know during the week they're trying to get her up to walk and move. We just got a bill today, and I would say it's pretty good compared to the pricing in Houston.
Read moreOverall everything is going well. It's a smaller unit, which is helpful as far as care is concerned. I've not had much interaction with the staff, but they've been very nice. They keep me informed and updated. I hope my loved one can stay there for as long as she needs to.
Absolutely amazing! The care my mother has received is like she is being cared for by her own family members. The staff is compassionate, gentle, kind, and informative to family members regarding everything!

Safe, secure welcoming facility. My friend lives here - there is no immediate family in the area. He does receive visits from friends almost daily. Visitors are welcomed and included in activities. He receives personal attention all day, everyday from a caring staff. He is always encouraged to be involved in activities. Each morning he is dressed and ready for breakfast. He remains up, dressed and involved until bedtime.

Read moreMy dad lived here for several years. He had great care, even improved over the nursing facility he was in prior to this. The love he received at Sodalis is something money can't buy. The staff loved him and he loved them, very comforting for the family.
