I thought it would be ok for my family to attend mass and arrive later than my usual 8am to assist my mom at what she calls her home. When I walked in today a little after 12pm she was crying and sitting in 2.6 lbs of urine saying no one helps her. My mom has been a resident for >8 years. My mom has dementia but knows she was soaking wet and devastated. My mom has 8 children but does not want to leave what she calls her home. I took her with me as we all do on weekends and my mom constantly asking to bring her home. The sad thing is my mom has someone there at her bedside daily and staff still neglect her care. I cry for my mom and all other residents here who don’t have family visit daily. As difficult as it daily to know when one of us is not here with her. We all respect my mom’s dignity, pride and wish to die in her home (room at nursing facility). My mom is on hospice and I will continue to be her voice and all other residents voice till the end. I took saturated diaper that also had a bladder liner to show RN in charge her response “that is a normal amount for your mom. I was the one who got her up this morning at 7:30am and she was not wet”. Yes, that was 4 1/2 hours later and my mom is on a diuretic (water pill) and an elderly bladder can hold an average of 16 ounces of urine. 2.6 lbs is equal to 41 ounces of urine. Then the famous excuse here we are short staffed and doing our best. No, empathy, no we hear your concerns and should your mom should be cared for as your concern is valid. This is just today’s incident, had many incidents with my moms care, where I reported the facility to the state. I had a care plan meeting and I was thinking it would make a difference for my mom and all residents. I don’t understand. I will say Dana LVN, Maria CNA, Myrna Housekeeper, Melissa Medication Aide, Melinda and Maria Laundry, Rafael Carpet Cleaner, Pete and Richard Maintenance are great caring, professional and do their job above and beyond!!

Special thanks to Marcus, Nereida Rosas and Romeo . They tailored the OT and PT to meet her needs. Thank you. Ted

I work full-time as a housekeeper about two months. Margaret ,the supervisor was very unprofessional having her sister Linda clean all the rooms, mryan another housekeeper also give her more rooms. And all her family working as a housekeeper would give them less room. Margaret ,doesn''t have a car so the ladies from laundry would pik her at her place without clocking in or out would take long lunch break . I spoke to the new director and the human resources report her. Guess what ? They investigate but didn''t do anything about it. . So they fired me for being so trustful to them. Margaret , supervisor claims she helps her staff. No she doesn''t she walks around with a cart so wen the other housekeeper comes in she gives her take. . they also should give her a drug test.
