If I could give less than a 1-star I would, mother was sent here TWICE, first time she was sent here she had just recovered from her stroke and was seeking occupational therapy and physical therapy. Due to the neglect of the nurses she ended up getting a bed sore, afterwards the hospital sent my mother back to the rehab a second time and I found my mother getting 2 more sores on her and seeing her right hand was swollen along with what looked like a burn mark! I immediately removed my mother from the facility and filed a complaint to the hospital to NEVER return her to this place again! All they did was have her lay there since they couldn''t give her any physical therapy and she wasn''t properly taken care of as they claimed.

Great place, my dad is doing so well here. Love the staff, clean facility and great therapy.
I have had a conversation with the kitchen head and she was great. Today everything was correct. The issues seem to be the whole city.
Linda receptionist has been very friendly & makes a difference with feeling less stress !

Stayed here once with my grandmother and discharged her immediately the next day the NAs are over worked like slaves at night. the residents barely have snacks a 1000$ per night and you only get oatmeal pies, saltines, peanut crackers and water the nurses are lazy and don’t answer call bells. I woke up hearing call bells going off and took a video of a nurse sitting on her phone while 5 lights were going off.I watched a nurse walk right pass the patient to find the aide who was working with someone else just to tell her that the bells were going off and the patient only needed medicine. I asked the aide what was going on she told me that the Na did not come in that night and that they changed the schedule and told me the nurse had not did her rounds which meant my grandmother had not received her medication on time. I asked her what did she think of the place and she told me that she would not be returning bc the building lacked structure and leadership. then proceeded to point down the hall at the male charge nurse yelling and cursing at the nurses station she told me that nurses have had affairs in closets, the DON and scheduler almost fighting and nurses with fb accounts recording in the building. While I was here that night a random man kept falling asleep in the hall and a random woman walking room to room with a baby doll. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE!!!! TO THE OWNER: BEING THAT I CANNOT RESPOND Oh please You’re not even there ; and I know this because I was looking for your to discuss my concerns. You clearly only care about money and nothing more .You know that not having food or care products is considered to be neglect. My Grandmother arrived in your facility right after hip surgery and when we hi-tailed it out of Alcatraz she still hadn’t got any pain meds only 1 Tylenol! While I was there a Lady named MS Price fell and almost knocked herself out! It took them a minute to get her up and they didn’t even send her to the hospital! I know that can’t be protocol!I work in healthcare.; so I am very familiar with protocols! With that being said : Thanks but no thanks for for bouquet of nice words. This is the Alcatraz for the elderly; This is a true depiction of neglect, financial ,physical and emotional neglect to the elderly. How much do you guys pay the State to stay in business? Durham is supposed to be the City of Medicine this place is a house of horrors. Shut It Don! Save some lives and heartbreak !
