Three years ago my sister Laura came from Nevada to make this her home. I cannot express how wonderful she was treated. They treated her with respect, kindness, as well as treating her like family. During the time the residents could not leave because of Covid, they did all they could to keep the residents safe. I truly love this place. My sister passed away on June 16th she was where she wanted to be safe at home. I love this place and the people who take care of the residents , they are awesome. If you need a place to get better this is the place to be. Glenda Nelson.

My mother-in-law stayed 3 days in April 2022. Her medical care needs were substantial so I made sure the staff and administration were prepared. I supplied her meds, incontinence care supplies, oxygen, and nebulizer. I left explicit instructions for the administration of the meds and nebulizer treatments. I was assured time after time that they were on top of it and that their staff was highly trained and competent. I toured the facility with my mother-in-law a few days prior to her stay. The staff was friendly and the facility appeared to be pretty clean but did not reflect a warm and welcoming environment. The “rocking chair” required great effort to move it 1 or 2 inches. It did not recline and was uncomfortable. She ended up spending most of her time in bed because it was adjustable. The bathroom set-up was fine and suited for her needs. The communication between staff and administration shift to shift was poor. Mistakes were made. I don’t know everything that happened but when we picked her up she was dehydrated, weak, and confused. She was unable to eat much due to the quality of food. We dropped her off on a Sunday and by Monday night her texts to her children were gibberish. It wasn’t until we picked her up that she told us she had fallen on Monday. No one from the facility contacted us to tell us of her fall and condition. No one in the facility made note of her decline. I should have never left her in their care. The nurse that handled her discharge had no idea what he was doing. Again, the communication needed for competent care was lacking or non-existent. Shortly after she returned home I was helping her in the bathroom and found that she had a couple of sores and dried fecal material on her buttocks. It was shocking and saddening. My mother-in-law never recovered fully from her stay at Spanish Fork Rehab. She passed away on the 15th. I have spoken with the owner-Kole, several times. He has assured me that they will make some changes to better meet the needs of their residents. I am hopeful that those things will happen.
