We worked for years to get my loved one into this community. We trusted the people who brought us in. Since this Christmas we have gone through three resident nurse directors and three executive directors. The managers have all left and it is so unorganized there. I have caught the nursing staff in lies about my loved ones care. The managers are not professional or anpproachable anymore. I visit almost daily and I know the seniors that live there. They have expressed the same feeling as me, like you can’t get straight answers and there is no more warm feeling. They spend all their money to get a new dining room but obviously can’t afford good staff including the ones on the floor and the ones behind the desks. Don’t believe there lies when they tell you there is a nurse there overnight. There isn’t. Even there doctors that go there admit that it’s a train wreck. If I could give zero stars at this point I would.

We've moved into Spring Hills Lake Mary. We chose them because they were extra friendly and you didn't have to buy in. We walked through the door, and it was like we were at home. We visited four different styles of apartments, and we were able to pick out what we wanted. We have a two-bedroom, and one of the bedrooms is the bedroom, and the other one we're using as a study, but it's bright and sunny. It feels like something you would have in a normal house. It's just really comfortable. The food is tasty, and it's a good selection. You get a menu when you go in and you order what you want and they change it every week. They have a lot of programs. Their activities look very interesting.

We really enjoyed our tour of Spring Hills. It seemed like a very nice, well run facility. The woman who gave us the tour was very friendly and knew the names of most, if not all, of the residents. The dinner options looked amazing. We probably would have chosen Spring Hills but we chose a place which was a little closer to our home. I know someone whose mother was at Spring Hills and she had a excellent experience. I also thought the Spring Hills contact was the most personable.

When we visited facilities we looked at several but kept coming back to how comfortable we were made to feel at spring hills. My was very reluctant to move and it took a lot of coaxing but we did it and it was not smooth after getting him in. I feel like there were a lot of promises made that haven’t been upheld by the nurse. She saw my husband and said his care could be managed easily and was confident but she doesn’t communicate and when she does she is scattered and rude. I feel all I’m ever doing is calling or being called upon to solve matters that are in her hands since he has been placed in their care. I am disappointed with how little effort has been put into getting to know him and encouraging him to come out for any activity. I have seen him get worse since moving him and I feel like we picked the wrong place. The food is great, he doesn’t complain about that and the housekeepers are kind. Care employees leave a lot to be desired.

Spoke with a nice lady on the phone and became excited to tour the facility for my father. Looked at their website and It was idyllic. I went to the building and despite its dilapidated appearance I went in. Very bizarre scenario where you have to get buzzed in. Receptionist incredibly frazzled and rude, total attitude and complaining about her job with us just feet away. I had been told that the building is renovated but I can’t begin to imagine where. It looks old, it smells molded, and there were just a ton of people half asleep in wheelchairs which is what I am trying Tia avoid for my dad. We are going to downsize at Oakmonte to maintain the high standard of living thag he is accustomed to.
