When it became obvious than my wife needed more help than I could provide or we could get from home services, our family and I began the search for assisted living alternatives in the Plymouth area. There are many choices and picking the right one is not easy. Leaving our home, our friends, and many of our belongings that we had collected over the 70 years of our marriage was not easy either. There were many factors to consider: care and safety for my wife, activities & recreation programs, food and dining alternatives, apartment choices and other amenities. After researching the available alternatives, we decided that the best choice was Stafford Hill in Plymouth, based on the factors listed above plus the friendliness and openness of the staff we met when touring Stafford. We were also struck with how friendly and active the residents were that we met while touring the facility. It wasn''t until we had moved in to Stafford that we realized all of our research didn''t begin to make clear how the staff we deal with on a daily basis can make such a difference. The Stafford staff from reception to dining room, maintenance, nursing, personal care, and activities is outstanding. We have yet to meet any staff member who is not caring, friendly, and willing to help us even if the help is not in their job description. They have all helped us so much in adjusting to the assisted living life style and have made us feel like we have a new home that can be just as rewarding as our previous homes. The outstanding staff is, of course not an accident, It''s obvious the management team has worked hard to create an environment where the staff goes out of their way to be caring, friendly, and helpful whenever they can. The management group itself is accessible and uniformly caring, friendly, and helpful. If you are ever in need of assisted living services, I would strongly recommend Stafford Hill in Plymouth. They have all the services needed for the safety and comfort of your family member, plus they have the outstanding people on their staff that will make the difference between being assisted in their living and being surrounded by people who really care for them and help them to live life as fully as they are able..

My dad has been a resident at Stafford Hill for a month. He is very happy there, as are we with the service and care he receives. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We would recommend this facility to anyone who needs a little more help with their daily living arrangements.

I’m writing a review for #Stafford Hill Assisted Living in Plymouth MA. My sister Mary was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago. Her husband and myself had been caring for her since she was diagnosed. Eventually she needed care 24/7 which we thought we could manage between the 2 of us. When she fell and broke her wrist with her husband standing within a few feet of her we realized that she needed more than what we could give her. Number One-we wanted her to be safe in a caring and loving environment. We wanted a place where the staff would know how to care for her every need when and if necessary. A place she could be comfortable and happy and eventually call home. Well I am happy to leave a review for Stafford Hill. We found the perfect place for my sister. It came highly recommended to us by dear friends Dottie Foley and her daughter Julie. Julie was so excited to recommend Stafford saying “you will love it there, Mary will love it.” It was the 1st place Steve and myself looked at. It was the only place we needed to look at. Steve signed papers that day and a few days later we took Mary to see it. She was not happy about this whole situation. The only reason she cooperated and visited Stafford with us was because her only alternative was to have 24/7 care in her home by strangers. That was an absolute NO from Mary. To our surprise and shock she liked Stafford and she liked her apartment. It was so nice and the perfect size for her. She moved in shortly after. Even though she liked it and liked her apartment I did not think she would adjust to living there. I did not think that socially she would make many friends or join most activities except the gym. Anything to do with the gym we knew was a big plus for her. She was accustomed to Steve cooking all her meals and didn’t want that to change. Then 1 day she agreed to go to dinner with me. Not long after her 1st meal in the dining room she told me that I didn’t need to go with her. She had friends to go with. I was gob smacked but so happy. She takes almost all her meals in the dining room now. She now participates in most activity’s if she has time to fit them in to her busy day. She has a few favorites but seems to like most. She has not done art class yet as she has not had time. Art Class WOW The activities are all well thought out and executed by knowledgeable staff. It was amazing to me how the staff knew exactly what, how and when to do whatever they did to draw her in. Every one of the staff has been attentive, kind, friendly and loving. All have wonderful attitudes and good personalities. Most of the huge staff that I’ve met have worked there a long time. That’s says a lot!’ My sister is happy. She loves her many new friends, she loves being active again. She loves Gail and all the aids and staff who just appear constantly just to check on her, see if she needs anything or needs them to take her anywhere. They respond within minutes when she needs someone. She tries to keep a list to help her remember everyone’s name that interacts with her. The list is getting long. I was impressed as soon as we walked through the doors less than 2 months ago and I am still impressed. I don’t have any complaints-not a one. The facility is beautiful, clean and a happy place! It was never a chore for me to care for my sister, it was a pleasure but it is nice to be just her sister again and not her caretaker. The name Stafford is so appropriate as the STAFF @ Stafford is what makes this such a special place for your loved one.

Mom just moved into Stafford Hills and we are very impressed with the facility. Mom said it’s the cleanest place she has seen! The food is great and the staff is very helpful.
