This message is intended for anyone inquiring about possibly working here and or placing a loved one here, DO NOT! I am a former employee of this facility and during my employment here I faced nurse incivility here where hostile, demeaning, and disrespectful behaviors in a professional workplace are tolerated. I first sent my concerns to HR and the DON with a full explanation of my experience along with dates and times and received no response from them regarding my instance and the situation was then sent to the CED, which stated that he had complaints from others about this specific individual as well. which makes me think that if others have already complained about this person before, shouldn''t have this unprofessional behavior already been addressed before another employee had to experience it again, but who knows. During my employment here the CNA to patient ratio averaged 25:1 with the 2nd floor having about 53 people and the 1st floor having about 40 along with the memory care unit having 20 patients. The rooms are double occupied and very small. During my time here It was very difficult to attend to everyones needs and I never felt like I had a chance to breath. The workload is too intense for a normal person to care for all their patients in the way that they deserve. During this time I tried my best to check & change everyone, feed the patients that needed it, shower my patients, pass trays to 3 halls, as well as get everyone up for the mornings and but back to bed before the night shift arrived. There is no help, nurses don''t help CNAs and you''re lucky if there are 3 CNAs on the floor. There is no set schedule for employees, and no management. This place is not ran smoothly and lacks resources, compassion for patients, and lacks leadership from management. I am very concerned for the residents that stay here as residents and staff complain everyday . Sometimes there is only 1 CNA for the 1st and 2nd floor due to extremely understaffing. These people don''t deserve to sit in there urine or feces for hours, not be fed immediately, not be showered for almost 2 plus weeks, not be able to get up and sit in there wheels chairs in the mornings, not have clean clothes to wear, not have broken AC units, not be able to be repositioned in there bed, not have new ice waters when asked, not have there medications at there given times, not have there phones work when they need to speak to family members, not have an adequate stocked supply of the correct sized briefs, not have there teeth brushed, not have there hair combed, not regularly have new sheets, and most importantly not have there human and basic activities of daily living needs met on a regular basis. Its sad, its wrong, and its no place for a human being to live or stay.
