My mother experienced the same things in many of the 1-star reviews listed - lack of care, lack of repositioning, short-staffed as an excuse to not do their job, tasteless food, and senior staff ignoring all the problems when questioned or confronted. She was there in June 2022 and unfortunately my mother is no longer with us. I’m not saying this caused her death, but it accelerated it. She was unable to get stronger thru PT because of infection from unmanaged bed sores that developed while at this facility.

Food is marginal at best, and no air conditioning in one of the permanent care wings, where my 89 year old sister is staying. Place is terrible! The level of care here is horrifying they use the “we are short staff” excuse for everything my grandmother was suppose to be getting repositioned q2hrs due to a sore she would call for hours before anyone repositioned her if they even did, she then would need to call a family member to have them call the facility they don’t give her a shower or “bed bath” they’d only empty her foley bag her bed was filthy. I could go on about this unacceptable care if it’s not already clear I do NOT recommend it here for your loved ones!

Horrible place!! Everyone but the physical therapist lied to me about what was going on. They were rude and they ignored my mother. And they fed her food that looked like slop. It was inedible. The female Physical therapist was terrific! I just feel like they hadn’t gotten to her yet. Everyone else, especially the woman in charge, were just waiting to go home.

Sunny Acres people who answer the front desk phone are very rude and unprofessional and also your loved ones things go missing all the time , they treat the family members very rude and there’s lack of communication I could go on but I would be writing all day.....
