Independence and Compassionate Care at Sunrise of Plano
Sunrise of Plano offers independent living, assisted living and memory care in a vibrant setting that allows residents to do what they love, make lasting connections and live life on their terms. Chat with the seniors here, and they’ll rave about a lot — the caring staff, the beauty of the surrounding area, the relationships they’ve cultivated and the peace of mind they feel from the chore-free lifestyle.
They’ll also tell you there’s always something to do at Sunrise of Plano. Morning sing-alongs, pilates workouts and long walks get the blood flowing, while ice cream socials, yoga and Getting to Know You roundtables help residents build bonds. When they’re not busy with their social schedule, residents enjoy sitting in the sunroom, playing billiards, listening to live music in the piano room and getting their hair and nails done at the on-site beauty salon.
Outings take seniors to movie theaters, restaurants, museums, the Shops of Willow Bend, the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, the Plano Symphony and other cultural events. External medical support is nearby, with places like Baylor Regional Medical Center, Baylor Heart Hospital of Plano and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano within 15 minutes.
Sunrise of Plano: Care Plans for Any Senior
Sunrise of Plano has a level of care for any older adult. Independent living allows residents complete freedom and helps with only the things they need, like driving, cooking and chores. Floor plans include a one-bedroom, a one-bedroom with a den and two two-bedroom options; one with a veranda.
Assisted living is a higher level of care. Residents get assistance with bathing, grooming and medication, but they still have the independence to arrange their days however they please. There are four assisted living floor plans: studios, one-bedrooms, two-room suites and Companion Suites.
Alzheimer’s and memory care is perfect for older adults with dementia and memory loss. These seniors and their families work one-on-one with a Life Enrichment Manager who arranges customized care. Tasks might include physical exercises, memory-focused activities and help with daily tasks like continence, eating, bathing and dressing.
Sunrise of Plano also offers short-term stays for seniors recovering from a procedure and hospice relationships for fulfilling end-of-life wishes and making the transition seamless.

We were very happy with our mother''s experience at Sunrise. Mom was in the Assisted Living wing. We really liked that the rooms were large and there were big closets. A lot of other senior living facilities don''t have closets or if they do the closets are very small. The common areas of Sunrise are beautiful. Our Mom liked spending time in the first floor parlor with the numerous book shelves. She also liked the food and the daily activities. We strongly recommend Sunrise for anyone searching for an Assisted Living facility.

I arrived sicker then I''ve ever been and stayed in my apartment with foods brought to me. I was examined in house by Dr. Rivas and x-rayed by Patrick ? and blood taken by a young lady and for the next ten weeks, evaluated by Kay and Amy, both registered nurses working for Dr. Rivas. I had the flu and Dr. Rivas got me what was needed. My down time was limited to less then a week thanks to the exceptional care given me. Once medically released I had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people who said they were praying for me. If that doesn''t make one feel better is beyond me. Again, I am surrounded by many lovely people who care.
