My special aunt spent many months at Thatcher Brook. In that time, they hit her head on the wall, they dropped her while transferring her back from the bathroom and broke her femur. They let her sit in her urine, sit on bedpans for hours, and the CNAs yelled at her for being dirty. They "forgot" her meals on many occasions. This place is NOT compassionate, not caring and definitely not clean. If she had had a different insurance, she would have been moved to a different facility. I even called the state and licensing division and they did nothing about our complaints. My aunt was only in her 60''s. Just imagine how the older patients are treated that can''t speak out.

I''d give this place zero stars if I could. I have a relative staying in this facility recovering from surgery. We come to visit every other day and it is always stinky. The smell hits you as soon as you walk in the front door. The nurses aides seem very untrained and most of them are not physically able to do their jobs, and if they''re asked for help they act like you''re an inconvenience. When in all reality I was just trying to make their day a little easier. They left her hanging in a hoyer lift for nearly an hour while waiting for clean sheets. They left her sitting on a dirty bed pan multiple times and a few times for over an hour and never bothered to check on her until a family member called the facility. She has MULTIPLE food allergies and it is documented on her chart but the kitchen still manages to mess up nearly every meal. That is if they actually remember to take her a meal, they have missed several. While visiting with her I have met several other patients who have similar experiences and complaints about this facility. The care given in this facility is absolutely awful. If it were up to me I would move her out of here and take her to a better more professional facility. The director of nursing, is very rude to the patients & their families. She tries to act like she runs the place. The only good thing about this facility is the transport driver. He was very nice to her and made her comfortable on the long drive.

They only allow one person to visit PER DAY. Even though you need a negative covid to even get it. They literally told me the reason is because enough can still be positive even if the test is negative. Makes zero sense. Claiming it is CDC guidelines is also ridiculous. In what reality would allowing a visit at 1p from a covid negative person and allowing another covid negative person to visit at 3p put anyone at risk? People who want to "follow the science" sure like to make up rules just to exert control. Will never allow another family to go here. Could not be more disappointed. One visitor at a time makes sense, one visitor a day is complete horse sh*t. "I''m sorry you feel that way" and I''m sorry you don''t have basic common sense
