Upside Your Life at The Auberge at Brookfield
At The Auberge at Brookfield, an assisted living and memory care community in Brookfield, WI, everything is built around the Montessori-inspired SPARK program. SPARK aims to keep older adults socially engaged, physically fit and spiritually fulfilled. Its daily calendar offers all sorts of opportunities for joy, including art and crafts projects, baking classes, donation drives, live musical performances, pizza parties and a whole lot more. One of the most popular SPARK programs is Culinary Club, where loved ones work with chefs to gather ingredients around town and make culinary masterpieces.
Brookfield is filled with serene lakes and offers a small-town feel, but it’s also just 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. Nearby are the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, Downtown Brookfield, Fox Brook Park and Brookfield Square mall. When they’re not busy with activities and excursions, residents enjoy gourmet meals in the beautiful dining room, getting pampered in the beauty salon/barber shop and shopping in the on-site Country Store.
The Auberge at Brookfield Respects Your Individuality
SPARK places a strong emphasis on supporting residents’ ideas, choices, and independence. They are free to spend their days in ways that make them happy, and each person creates an individualized care plan that ensures their needs and preferences are respected. Compassionate caregivers (which include RNs and LPNs) are here 24 hours a day to administer medications and provide discreet support for activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing and more.
In the memory care program, older adults benefit from science-backed rehabilitation techniques, meaningful activities and specialized attention from dementia care-trained caretakers. This award-winning program has been shown to increase interaction, optimize cognition and foster a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

Rooms were lovely and overlooked the trees (I was told that deer have been deen). Overall, I was very impressed.

Very large building for my mom to walk around and [name removed] had a resident tour with us to let us know what a day in the life at Auberge looked like and we were very impressed. The staff were very friendly and Tina took the time to walk through all of our questions and was very passionate and knowledgeable in the healthcare field, which we are not and this helped tremendously! I wish we toured here first as this was exactly what we were looking for!

The Auberge at Brookfield is beautiful. My husband has plenty of room to walk, and that's what he needed, but I'm not sure if they're following all of their standards. My husband sleeps in whatever I've put him in and I've been the only one who's showered him so far. They don't have a lot of residents there right now, and so I think he should be getting better care. I've eaten there several times and the meals were tasty every time. I just don't think they were giving enough greens, like green beans, peas, or even vegetables. In the first couple of meals that I ate there we got potato chips and my husband got a whole sandwich. The next time we had meatloaf. The meatloaf might have had a vegetable, but it was so small. They have bingo, arts and crafts, a weight room with a time schedule if/when they can use it, and entertainment (I've been there for that and it was very good entertainment). They have a lady that does their nails and my husband got his nails trimmed and clear polish was put on them, and they looked stunning. There's a music lady where she did a video and then played records and talked about it. I've sat through that and that was excellent. I actually see music in the daily calendar every now and then. So, they have great activities. I think they're better than the average. They just need some improvement.
