Whole-Person Care at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes
The Cabana at Jensen Dunes in Jensen Beach, FL, takes a holistic approach to senior living. The philosophy (called SALUS) is designed to nurture the soul, strengthen the body, sharpen the mind and help seniors’ social lives soar. The gym, rehabilitation clinic and fitness classes keep the body in shape while tai chi, mindfulness mornings, tai chi and spiritual services nourish the soul. Social calendars are always full here, too, with movie nights, happy hours and live entertainment nearly every night of the week. There’s a putting green, a Bocce ball court, a swimming pool and gardens, a putting green, a grill outside, all of which offer opportunities to get together with friends. Every resident also receives a customized SALUS program and one-on-one support to help them defy aging and ensure their needs are met.
That personalized care applies to the dining options, as well. Residents can get meals made that fit their dietary needs and goals, and they can choose from the main dining room, the Manatee Cove Dining Room, the Dolphin Lagoon or the wine and cocktail bar, The Sandbar.

My auntie moved here in August. As a family, we are happy with the care and cleanliness of this “homestead” for her. Personally, I’ve enjoyed meeting residents and staff, as well as attending classes and Happy Hour with auntie. Common areas and grounds are lovely, staff seem capable and friendly. It takes a village! I’m happy to visit and be a part of this community a few times per year.

My parents moved in a little over a year ago. Chris was the best in supporting us from our first visit to our move in. We were devastated when he was let go shortly after my parents moved in. However, a year later, I have to say they are quite happy there. It''s not the Ritz Carlton, but they get excellent care, the staff is wonderful, the food is fine, and the facilty is quite nice too. Overall, they love it. And therefore, I do too!
Read moreIt was positive but intake staff did not do a very thorough job making sure all documents were in order and when a DNR situation arose this created a crisis. My dad ended up passing away from Covid contracted during his stay - total time in Cabana was less than 2 weeks.
