This Carrington in Lincolnwood is the worst place, CNA do not care for the people living here. They do not clean the rooms or like to wash the clothes or even check on the people who live there. All they do is sit down or leave the people dirty. The food is always cold when they get it. They barley have any activities. The supervisor are suppose to be checking and making sure there business is running great. This is suppose to be a place of comfort for the elderly, but once you move in it is not. Everything they say, the carrington is so wonderful it is not, it is false advertising. I am surprised they haven’t got sued yet.

I would definitely not recommend Carrington at Lincolnwood to anyone looking for a place for their loved one to live. The lack of communication is completely unacceptable and puts the residents at serious risk. Along with communication, the professionalism of the staff is also severely lacking. Overall, this retirement home is a disaster and I would advise anyone considering placing their loved one here to think again. The lack of care, communication, and professionalism make this facility unsuitable for anyone seeking a safe and caring environment for their elderly family member.

My mother has lived at the Carrington for almost 2 years now. When she first moved in the food was very good. For the last at least a year, it has been horrible. There are times she can’t eat it and she’s been living on sandwiches. Tonight she ordered a steak medium and it came so well done she couldn’t cut it. They tried two more times to bring two more steaks and they were all inedible -even the baked potato wasn’t good. The salads have limp, wilted lettuce. Unacceptable!! If you’re coming for the food, don’t. The residents have been complaining about the food and they keep promising that it will improve and it hasn’t. For the amount of money that the assisted-living residents pay for assistance and their three meals a day, it should be edible at least, and fantastic at best.

The tour at The Carrington at Lincolnwood was nice. It's a newer facility. It's very clean and very bright. All the people there seemed very friendly. There were a lot of different activities. There were a lot of options, but ultimately, it's a combination of mom preferring to stay home but also the issue of being a minority. She's Asian and there were some Asians there as well, but not many. Her English isn't that good, so she wouldn't feel as comfortable being there. The staff was very good, very helpful, and gave us a lot of information. We did go back to visit it again, just to review again, because there were some different options. She was very good. She took her time and answered any questions that we might have had. I was very satisfied with that. The rooms were a studio or a one-bedroom. They had chair yoga, pool exercises, arts and crafts, movie nights, and church services.
