I know 2 people who live there and I think they are well cared for . When they first moved in , they each had their own apartments that had washer/dryer units in each . They do offer different meal plans , it just depends on what you want. They have plenty of security on-site , so your loved one will feel safe and secure at all times ! The dining room and lobby have been renovated and are very nice!

Horrible place my mother went there for rehab for shoulder replacement staff was very unprofessional we had to force a nursing change the first had alcohol on her breath they would never answer the calls when my mother had to use the restroom the doctor didn’t bother to look at what medication my mother was allergic to they call from blocked numbers the social worker [name removed] is a habitual liar she straight lied to our face more than once ! Horrible people all they want is your money! they basically could care less about the patients this is just a warehouse luckily I got my mother out of that horrible place ! She was deteriorating in front of my eyes IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR LOVED ONES STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE !! my mother lost 12 pounds in14 days the food was always cold coffee always cold and disgusting the only nice thing I can say is it’s a pretty place on the outside and horrible behind closed doors AVOID THIS PLACE ITS THE WORST !! We stand behind every word f this !! The worst

The room my father was in was so cold, the nurses would come in wearing heavy winter coats but said the chill was good for my dad’s breathing. This is just one of many examples showcasing their incompetence and skill that my father received and what caused him to become even sicker while in their care.

The Chesapeake Retirement Community is a very nice facility for independent living. If you show any signs of needing assistance, they are quick to have a Licenced Social Worker evaluate your abilities to determine if you can remain in Independent Care. If you don''t pass the test, then guess what, y...

The Chesapeake Retirement Community is a very nice facility for independent living. If you show any signs of needing assistance, they are quick to have a Licenced Social Worker evaluate your abilities to determine if you can remain in Independent Care. If you don''t pass the test, then guess what, you go to the Assisted Living Ward, without choice, or to the Locked-Up Memory Care Ward, again with no choice. Or, you can leave after you have already Purchased a Care Plan to End of Life. Once in Memory Care, if you need Nursing Care, you are required to Hire your own Nurse Staff Companion. This is costs more the the Life Care Plan Buy In. Expect a 300%, or more additional expense. If you purchase the Life Care Plan and you still need to pay for the Nursing Care, then why even sign up for the Chesapeake Retirment Community. Not worth the money. Better to stay at home and hire and manage your own Nursing Staff.
