Severely understaffed - constantly using “agency” aids who are rough, uncaring, and lazy. Rather than scheduling sufficient aids (more than one per building), they have floaters that go where required - mind you many residents require 2 aids for transfers. And that is what over $14,000 a month buys you? Actual staff seem fine - just not nearly enough. The facility is fine and usually clean, but the food is HORRIBLE — we call the cream of mushroom soup “water of mushroom” soup, food is poor quality, extremely repetitive, grilled cheese and tomato soup about 3 times a week, strange repetitive selections I. e. Brussels sprouts 2 to 3 times a week, hot dogs, grits (we are New Yorkers), never a choice — if they won’t eat the meal, they can get a PBJ. No snacks / juice between meals.

Mom has been in and out 4 times the last 5 years and hated it every time. I called and asked social worker C.Piston how I can talk to her and she asked what I need to talk to her about - which left me speechless. I mean, mom, in a home, on oxygen, maybe final days - really? This time, there is no phone in the room and I have to call to request to talk to her as they said have to wheel her to the ''Den'' for her to call. Even though I called twice and asked to speak to her yesterday, no return call came. This is probably mom''s punishment for saying she didn''t like it there and how the night staff had let their boyfriends in at night to feed them and let them sleep over in empty room beds and were possibly bringing in COVID. Were those guys tested? No one will ever know. At that time, Guess Cuomo may be innocent after all if the employees were actually doing this.
