We had a great tour experience with The Lauren and The Haven. The facility was very nice but the rooms in memory care did not have closets and I found that odd. Other than that it looked like a great place and we loved the staff!

After [dates removed] I was informed I needed to have 24 hour care for my loved one in addition to the assisted living care they provided. I spent 18 hours a day in this facility for [dates removed] and was appalled at what I saw. The nurses were sub par, the food was inedible. They were grossly understaffed. At night there was 1 staff person to 19 people. It was not a SAFE place for your loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour and The Laurels is a phenomenal place, it is set up amazingly. In the middle there are shops for the residents, different boutiques and even ice cream parlors. They have really high skylights so the entire community it is so bright and airy. It helps those with dementia or Alzheimer's have a better perception of what time it is.

We went with The Laurels & The Haven because of our first impression of the facility and the people. It is set up in a way so that it is a stimulating environment for the residents. They have plenty of space to walk around but they are safe and cannot get out. They are in a group setting and some of the residents do not have family so they really make it feel like a big family. The staff and med techs are wonderful for the most part. I feel that sometimes they are understaffed especially for the type of care they are providing but they are great. I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.
