The Inn at Apple Ridge was stunning. It had some really cool features for seniors. They not only have a large fish tank, but they also had an aviary in there. It's something really cool for them to look at and interact with. They had a beautiful waterfall in their courtyard that is different from anything I've seen anywhere. The place itself was incredibly clean, very nice, very comfortable, and very homey. It's a beautiful building, plus it's on top of the mountain. It's so high up there that you see the entire area around you. It's beautiful, and the people were very pleasant. We did both assisted living and memory care. We had done the assisted living originally, but since my mother-in-law took that fall a lot of things had changed right away. If she needed more help, she could also go to the other side, back and forth between the two. The staff was very interactive. Everybody worked together really well while we were there. It was beautiful. The food smelled good, and it looked good. They offered just about anything you'd want.

We toured The Inn at Apple Ridge. They showed us the whole thing. We started in the assisted living and then we walked into the memory care area to see that whole section. It was all very nice. It was beautiful. When you walk in, the dining room is right there and the chapel is beautiful. They have a bar and it's just so clean. It's like you're in a five-star hotel. It was just unbelievable, but I felt it was too big of a facility for my aunt, that's why we didn't go with them. The staff was very informative, very friendly, answered all of our questions, and very knowledgeable. Their garden area was beautiful and they had a kitchen area. Everything was immaculate.

Cost was an issue for us. They did not accept Medicaid, which we will need in a few years. But the facility was absolutely beautiful though.

We went to The Inn at Apple Ridge. I can tell hardly anything because with Covid, we couldn't go in. We couldn't really see anything, but we saw the outside of it. The woman who accommodated us had just gotten back and she had Covid and that kind of turned us off, too. I had to wait to get the tour because she wasn't back yet and then she told us that she had just had Covid. We just walked around the outside of the building, and we looked in a window at one of the rooms. It had a separate bedroom and a living room, and that's pretty much all we got to see. They weren't doing anything. They were on lockdown. It was really beautiful and it would be a lot closer for me. I used to work in Richfield and that's where it's located. It's not their fault that there's Covid, but you can't even look at the facility, so it's hard to make a decision. The woman walked us through the snow over to a window and we looked in. She was pleasant, but she had just gotten over Covid herself, so to me that means that they're not that safe there. Their staff has Covid, then they give it to the older people, so I was worried even more about taking my mother there. The outside was beautiful, and the grounds looked very nice. I didn't like that that there was a lot of traffic noise, but my mom is hard of hearing and she probably wouldn't even notice that.
