My brother has been in this facility for about a month. He tells me during every phone call how kind, helpful, professional, and patient ALL the staff are. My cousin, who is in Duluth facilitating my brother''s care, also reports how well my brother is cared. This is such a relief to me, as I reside 1,200 miles away and am unable to go to Duluth as my husband is also extremely ill. Thank goodness for the staff at Grandview. They allow me to sleep at night.

This facility has amazing and caring staff! The resident are happy and have great spaces to get outside and enjoy the weather. They always make sure the residents safety and health come first. You can''t ask for a better crew of people!

BEWARE... -10 rating! There are SO many disturbing concern''s happening in this nursing facility from nursing staff ( loudly heckling daughter during visit''s outside my mother''s door), supervisor and nursing director becoming sarcastic and rude when I requested our mothers plan of care . I had to bring in a medicare coordinator to have FULL access to her plan of care. Our mother is on palliative care/hospice currently. My guardianship right''s have NEVER been honored nor our mothers wishes to NOT sustain her life!!! She is suffering (starving) and lingering far longer due to a supervisor''s decision to continue giving her 100ML of water 3 times daily since her feeding tube being removed on 10/16/18. When I questioned from a doctor, how could this have happened?! I was told she were only " Being a Good Samaritan". Do you want a "Good Samaritan" sustaining your life against your wishes. In a real world it''s called "financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult"! Our mother is fully aware of her surroundings, agitated, grinding her teeth to the point of breaking. I have been disrespected, SLANDERED and ignored while attempting to advocate for my mother. Expect: Incomplete plan of care, incomplete documentation for doctor orders, hospice and medication''s. I went to visit my mother on 11/3/18 only to encounter an aide speaking loudly outside my mother''s room making light of my mother lingering and suggesting this is delaying my winter bird travel. Our mother assumed I were leaving her and she became visibly agitated after. I had to return that evening to comfort and reassure her I am not leaving her! Resident''s and family should NEVER have to experience the harm this facility has caused in the short month our mother has resided there. DON''T BOTHER asking for change......YOU will be treated as a problem, slandered and bullied by staff! Please pray for our mother!
