I placed my mother at this facility for just a few months. There was a lack of staff , one evening I showed up just after dinner and only one NA was on duty. When I called to inquire I was informed others were late or called out and I was dismissed. Laundry was never done and my mom did not have regular baths. I had a camera and others residents guests had told and I saw my mom being talked to horribly. “Calling her stupid” my mother’s behavior was getting worse due to this. I called the executive director numerous times I believe her name was Veronica and my call for concerns were never returned and I was dismissed. After a few months I removed my mom from the facility to a different one so she could get proper care. If you care for your love ones well being I would not suggest this center .

The positives: the facility common areas were fairly clean and the outside areas are nice. The rooms are a good size. The cons: staffing challenges including high turnover and untrained in how to deal with memory loss residents. Residents left alone frequently. They tell you everyone is trained in dementia care but that’s not the case most of the time. A lot of things seem to be a challenge like getting the residents laundry done, cleaning of the residents rooms, getting medicine at the correct times. The regional nurse who is an rn is overwhelmed with her workload so simple things don’t get done. The residents don’t get any exercise and the ones that get to the tv room watch television all day which causes issues with swelling in the legs and feet. While we were there very few crafts were done and the only consistent activity they had was a residents son in law coming to entertain with singing, many residents are unattended and brought to breakfast or allowed to have on wet or dirty adult diapers. A few of the residents were physical resulting in other residents getting hurt. They would be removed for a short time and then return. We had to supplement with our own caregivers to ensure our parent was minimally clean every day, mentally stimulated with activities and conversation. Our parent was very unhappy there. They liked the food and a few of the staff but overall a terrible fit for our family nember.

I am very thankful to have found a great place - The Reserve at Towne Lake - for my mother who has dementia. She now lives ten minutes from me and has been contented since moving in during Covid. While there have been staff changes, I have seen a caring community of people there. I volunteer often, and more volunteers are needed. My favorite time is when they have live music or when we just sing hymns. Music speaks to the heart and it warms my heart to see residents remember lyrics from long ago. Thank you to The Reserve staff. I appreciate you. Your jobs are not easy, and your help makes my life easier knowing my mama is well cared for. Keep giving her those hugs.

I went to visit. I thought it was very nice, clean, and very quaint. Not too big, and I like how they specialized in memory care. The staff was wonderful, very caring, very personable, and the whole staff spoke to me and made me feel very at home. My husband will move in there by February. I saw the residents eating, and the food looked very good. They had a word game and ball game going on where they would hit balls with those noodles. They had bingo going on. They had a lot of activities going on. The rooms were very nice, and they will provide the furniture. The bathrooms were very roomy and they were very clean. I didn't smell any bad odors like they sometimes have.
Read moreFor the most part I am pleased with the care my mom is getting. There have been a few what I would call "speed bumps" but I think this would be true anywhere. My mom is getting a lot more stimulation, she has friends and is being taken care of.
Great facility to work at. I’ve been employed with the facility since 2020. I absolutely love the residents and my co-workers. The management team is extremely helpful and wonderful to all of us. I enjoy coming to work every single day to see the residents and my team!!!!
