I went to visit my great aunt at the Villas. I was so impressed by the beautiful property and even more impressed by the amazing staff. I was lucky enough to visit during the weekly Happy Hour in the club room. Everyone was so friendly, catching up on their week, and enjoying hors d'oeuvre and a glass of wine before heading to the dining room for dinner. I am so happy my aunt lives in such a loving, positive environment, where she has been able to make so many friends.

My mom has been in this facility for 2 1/2 years and has been very happy. The owners / management are always doing upgrades and they seem to really care about the residents. The staff are friendly and helpful and the activities director is AMAZING!! She is dynamic, fun and loves her job. She creates a busy calendar with a wide variety of activities for the residents geared toward many different interests. Highly recommend!

The Independent Community Manager oversells this place. She does not have enough experience with retirement living to help anyone. The neighborhood is problematic because of the homeless population. They hang out on the property next to the community and have caused problems here. The activities are not as advertised, and the food is atrocious. The apartments are spacious, but my rent went up 10% to $4,440.00 per month. The roof leaks and there is only one washer and dryer available for laundry. I would not recommend this community to others.

I went to see Villas by Astoria Park. The tour was great. The woman was great. It would be a place I'd consider if that was the case. The appearance was nice. It looked well-kept. There were some people playing bingo in a room. The management was absolutely lovely and very helpful. She couldn't have been any kinder or sweeter or more engaging to the people that came up to her. It was a nice place. They're renovating the apartments. Some of them were beautiful. The layout was great, too. It was pretty compact in the sense that you didn't have to do any long walking to get to the dining room. I went in the wrong door first and went to the assisted living and the people there were lovely. Matter of fact, the woman showed me where I needed to go. Everybody couldn't have been nicer.
